Tell me your anti ageing skin care routine. Late 30s and clueless

There are just so many bloody products out there. Where the hell do I start?!

Ageing wise not too bad, but I have started to notice fine lines and a bit of sag/slackening.

Skin issues I have are;
Dry skin
Rosey cheeks/uneven skin tone
Large pores.

So where the hell do I start? Do I want retinol? AHA? vit c? ceramides? squamine? Collagen? One of the many acids?

Can you use too many different things? Can I target all problems or do I just pick the worst and target that?

Basically an anti ageing routine is vitamin A (a retinoid), B (barrier support, Niacinamide and Panthenol but also things like céramides), Vitamin C (multifaceted but brightening and collagen tend to be the most standout but formulation is key a lot of vitamin c products are not worth buying) and above all and before anything else SPF, standalone worn daily no matter the weather and applied in the right amount minimum of SPF 30 and topped up with prolonged outdoor exposure. Exfoliating acids may be an addition as well.

However you mention rosey cheeks and uneven skin tone, large pores which could mean rosacea and if it is rosacea much off the above is off the table. So check that first with a GP and then proceed from there.

Use Skin&Me personalised prescription at night. Then use big standard products - like Superdrug vitamin e or c range - with an SPF over the top in the day. Job done, in an effective way with minimal spend.

I’m having a similar dilemma.
I have a retinol serum I’m going to start using but my first step is to find a high spf moisturiser (you have to use spf if you’re using retinol).
Haven’t found one yet that doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I’ve just ordered Keihls ultra spf 30 but not tired it yet.
