Mole removal from face- any recs?

Hi, I’m looking to get a mole removed from my face. It’s brown and sticks out and it’s been bothering me for years. As it’s on my face. I obviously I want a nice result. In an ideal world, I’d like to not just make it flat, but remove the brownness as well. I’m very very pale, so it’s very noticeable. Does anyone have any recommendations? I’m based in London. Thank you!

Go to your GP and get it checked out. I got referred to a plastic surgeon who removed it as it looked likely to turn pre-cancerous even though it wasn't yet.

I used this chap to remove a cyst from my face after interviewing a few. He does plastics for St Thomas' as well as privately which I though was a good thing.

Thank you very much for the suggestions. lol will be considered carefully. I’m determined that this year will be the year I get rid of this mole.

I had several removed at a clinic in Guisely near Leeds. It was a very reasonable price, and I cannot tell you how much I wished I'd done it years ago. I got the train up there from Kings Cross, it took about an hour and I was home in no time with just some gauze over them (conveniently hidden by a face mask)

I probably had about two weeks where I was very conscious of the five marks on my face...they looked like circular burn marks..which I guess is effectively what they were. After that they healed and were just red circles, so I could put make up on and hide them.

Within a couple of months you wouldn't know they'd ever been there...except maybe the largest one which I'd had since I was a kid and I can make out a slight circular scar.

Ask your gp to refer you. Mine did refer us to plastic surgeon. He looked at mole on the nose and said it wasn’t cancerous and this was cosmetic but said it would be easier to remove it now but it was so big a scar would be visible. He said as it was growing he would remove now as I would only be back in 10 years. It was a large mole. I had GA and then woke up to a scar about 1 cm long glued today. Two years later the scar is hardly visible at all. A faint pale line and it’s fading. No one notices the scar. Everyone noticed the mole.

I had 3 removed from my face there by laser and was delighted with the result. Similar time frame for healing. The areas look slightly paler than the surrounding skin but only if you look really carefully.

Not a mole but I had a seborrhoeic wart which to me look like a mole removed by being frozen, amazed at the results really fast

Thanks everyone. I did a MN search and see that this clinic comes highly recommended. I'll check it out. I was hoping there might be somewhere a bit closer (London) but I'm happy to travel if it's worth it.

I’ve had one really big one (seven years ago) and three smaller ones removed by Dr Wong at the Shard, privately. Expensive but you can’t tell they were ever there!

I had four removed by Sk:n clinic in Guildford. The scars took a little while to heal but a year later they were not noticeable. And I could cover them with make-up after a short time. Less than £1K for all 3. I used Dermatix to help fade the scars, which I’ve used before on another scar and think helped

I've had three removed by the clinic in Guiseley. The one on my face has very slightly come back, but only very very slightly. The other two, I've forgotten where they even were!

I've got another one on my face which I want removing and will definitely go there again.

Summer of last year, and the prices are on the website (one of the reasons I ended up there...the transparency around pricing).

It may have gone up slightly..but at around 300 for the first mole and 95 for each additional one it was good value. I had to send photos, then pay a deposit when making the appointment.

That’s interesting that you went there from London. I’m nearly three hours drive away, but I’m guessing it took you a similar time including getting to a London train station? Any reason you went so far?

I’m quite nervous about it as I don’t really have anything to compare it with, I’m just looking at clinics blindly so to speak, I’d MUCH rather go on a personal recommendation.

Were they surprised you came from so far away? Would you recommend I drive nearly three hours each way or is that daft?

@DatingIsDifficult I felt a bit shaken when I came out (not driving myself) and I'm not usually super wimpy! The numbing agent is similar to a dentist so no reason not to drive. It depends on the individual I suppose.

I actually live in the NW and work in London so I'm always hopping up and down the country on trains.

I don't recall them being particularly surprised by how far I'd come.
