Don't suppose ripped jeans are fashionable this year??

My nice jeans which actually make my bum look ok are ripped on the knee from months of crawling around on the floor after DS. I've had them for less than a year and really liked them - should I continue to wear them with rips, or maybe fashion some sort of knee patch? Or will I just end up looking like a bag lady? Will I have to drag myself around sales to find nice new jeans?

(I realise this is not the most important question in the world but I'm in bed with flu and have too much time to think!)

I'd wear them ripped.. but more importantly I have The Smiths singing in my head now!

Well when I was younger and listened to the Smiths A LOT, I did wear them ripped, but wasn't sure if I'd just look a bit too 80's doing it now!

I would emphasize the rip and make them unique, by putting some giant stiches (looking like surgery stitches) in them with some leather laces or lace ribbons or something like that to close the hole up.

and in the summer make them into sexy short shorts.

I wore mine with one ripped knee, with a patch placed under the fabric instead of on top, for quite some time ... unfortunately the patch has now ripped (cos, erm, I made my mum do it with pretty fabric instead of the denim she thought would be more practical) and the other knee has gone. Must fix them up again, I don't care if they're fashionable or not (not), they are just the best most comfortable jeans ever (Levis, weird American size, 13 I think!) However the crotch is under threat, and that I think would be a patch too far.

I hope patched knees are in fashion because that's what I've just done with my beloved Levi's which I only bought in August!

This annoys me sooo much it's always the left knee that goes. Think I had better get jeans from Asda from now on so I won't be so disappointed.

Its my left knee that has gone too - wonder why?!

Patches would be fabulous and would make you look as far removed from a Grazia girl as it is possible to be. Always a good thing in my book.
