Fragrance free moisturiser

The ingredients list for my favourite moisturiser has changed and added 'parfum'. It smelled pleasant enough without it - nicer than, say, Simple or Waitrose Pure - and it felt nicer than them, too.

I'm allergic to several fragrances, so it's safer for me to avoid all fragrance, even 'natural'.

Can anyone recommend a nice facial moisturiser that has a bit of a feel of luxury, smells pleasant and is not clinical or heavy - and is fragrance-free?

Kiehl’s is fragrance free and definitely feels like a luxury, same price range as Clinique.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser.

I like Eucerin Urea Repair. I don't think it has a smell to it, and I am very sensitive to fragrance. I can't use Cerave - very stingy.

One of the only moisturisers I can tolerate is Aveeno. Can also use the plain The Ordinary one, I can’t remember the name of it now, but would still put some Aveeno over the top.

I'd recommend ELF Holy hydration fragrance free version

or The Ordinary NMF. www.cultbeauty.co.uk/the-ordinary-natural-moisturising-factors-ha-30ml/11396687.html?affil=thggps&gclid=Cj0KCQiAjc2QBhDgARIsAMc3SqQ0wsXpJPuoEbOSHT7Oa9XieXpfDhVjj5ssRjWg_rmXVs_imSb6tQkaAnaoEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Very sensitive and dermatitis prone skin here and I found Cerave very burny!

Clinique
Moisture Surgeâ„¢ Intense 72H Lipid-Replenishing Hydrator

Also, most of OLay come in an non-fragranced version.

I've used their Regenerist 3-point for ages and get it half price on Amazon £15-ish instead of £30.

Or some of La Roche Posay

Eucerin Urea Repair is brilliant, there are two kinds, one for 'dry skin' and one for '
very dry skin', both are brilliant, but the very dry skin one is very rich and a bit sticky, so no good for under make up.great for night though.
Both are unscented.

I don't think CeraVe is for me. The rash doesn't hurt or itch, and it's not the reaction I normally have to irritants, but I'm not risking it on my face.

Next! (I'm so fed up of this.)

Sorry it's not helped. I honestly am finding Eucerin Ato Control Face Cream really good. It's in a tube and no funky smell, is not thick but it's really moisturising and no hint of a reaction

JungleJimbo · 22/02/2022 17:36

Oh no!

Eucerin will definitely be the way to go I think

You are sensitive to something more than fragrance. You may be able to figure it out with a careful study of ingredients, but you have to realize that manufacturers use variations of names sometimes to obfuscate and sometimes because they really are just using slightly different chemical variations of the ingredient. The simplest way to pin it down would be patch testing with a dermatologist where they test a variety of substances all at once.

I've moved to Sukin ageless day cream from Liz Earle. I'm allergic to all sorts and this was fine for me

whatsinmyjar.com/product/cerave-moisturizing-cream
This site has a guide to different products and the ingredients likely to cause irritation.
A PP recommended La Roche Posay- I’d second that as a cheaper brand but still good quality.
