Help me to look…. Better!

I’m exhausted, 6months into ‘2 under 2’, 35 and have 6 weddings this year. I’m excited (when I can muster the energy) and want to look and feel my absolute best. It’s been such a long time since I have.

Please tell me what makes the biggest difference in your beauty regime, so I can copy you and feel amazing come April when the wedding season kicks off. Throw anything and everything at me (bar the beauty is skin deep stuff, I know, I know.. working on the inner confidence of course). I’m also already trying to drink loads of water and do regular exercise, so beyond that.

**I would consider non-invasive procedures if highly recommended, but not surgery

Thaaaanks!

Following! I’m looking tired too OP and suddenly aged at nearly 34. All my usual make up sits wrong! Are you breastfeeding? I was wondering about botox (eek) and teeth whitening but think they are not allowed when bf-ing. Can’t even get a decent eye cream.

Gigia · 17/02/2022 12:26

Things that have made me look better:
Losing weight and weight training
Microblading
Eyelash lift/tint
Botox and Profihlo (v small amounts)
Drinking loads of water
Hydrating face masks

Wendarl · 17/02/2022 12:26

Looks like no help is coming 😫

Yes, I’m breastfeeding and baby won’t take a bottle! Feel so depleted now! How are you getting on?

I have heard too many scary stories about Botox but I’m thinking teeth whitening too. And maybe some brow treatment. Mine are v much still a ‘00s trend!

Hi I'm v interested in Profhilo too for my arms? Is it painful, costly, effective and how soon before you see results and how long does it last? 🙏🙏

Nothing has changed the way I look and feel more than losing weight. No more worries about what flatters me or hides areas I don't like. Even cheap clothes look great.
Get great hair, by fair means or foul. If your own hair has the potential to look amazing, then pamper it a bit so it does. If at its best its only going to be so so, extensions may be your friend.
Topical skin treatments can't work miracles and results will not be game changing, if even noticeable. If you have wrinkles only botox will really work. If you have sagging it's probably going to have to be a touch of filler for lift, lasers or a thread lift. Although you're young for that.
A clean diet of whole foods, preferably vegan, and no alcohol will make you feel like a new woman inside and out. You also get a light tan if you eat enough of the right veg, the veggie glow. Its tough but its the best thing I ever did and resulted in the weight loss I mentioned above.

My baby is 11 months and I only feel I’m able to give myself a bit of time in the last few weeks! Fair play to you with 2 under 2!

I invested in some new skincare that’s made a real difference -P50 from biologique recherche, SPF 50 from Ultra Violette and a skincare box from Caroline Hirons. Little pricey for some bits but they’ll last me a while

I’m 34 and had noticed a good bit of drooping around my chin/marionette lines (had acne scarring also from when I was younger) so I bit the bullet after wanting it done for the last 2 years and got a tiny bit of filler - she used 0.8mls in total and I feel it’s made a huge difference.

Now onto clothes next 😬

Weight, toning exercise and hair are the easiest to fix.

CheeseMaiden · 18/02/2022 10:32

I have found exfoliating properly once or twice a week has made a noticeable difference to the look of my skin (both face and body). Still looking for a magic solution for chronic lack of sleep…

LaBellina · 18/02/2022 10:32

Getting enough sleep
Green juice every day
Collagen and fish oil supplements
Keeping my hair in good condition (regular trims, hair masks etc)
Finding the perfect foundation for my skin
Wearing clothes that make me feel confident
Being in shape

A light tan from eating vegetables. I've heard it all on MN now! 😂

Look it up. There are sources of information out there beyond MN you know. It's the beta carotene.
Gigia · 19/02/2022 20:04

Sorry for late reply. Profilho is amazing, I've had it my cheeks and it has smoothed out my skin and made it plumper and more youthful. It stings rather than hurts but no bruising and works within a few days

RubyRedRoses · 19/02/2022 20:09

Exercise and no alcohol definitely make me look a lot better. Weight loss too, IF that comes relatively easy to you. It's no good dieting like mad ime, especially when you're breastfeeding. It's actually dangerous to do that.

I had botox and wasn't that impressed tbh. I know others who swear by it though.
