Baby hairs

Okay so this is my second ever thread. My first was yesterday and after all the lovely replies I got I thought I might start another more light hearted one.

So I've always had this issue with my hair but since having my dd 8 months ago it's even worse. When I tie my hair up in a ponytail or a mum bun I have all these sticky out bits of hair, before my dd hairspray always worked keeping them down but this doesn't work anymore it's driving me insane I look like a clown lol! Any ideas?

A clown Grin

I have baby hair too, my hairdresser just says they’re cute, thanks but they’re annoying! I used to have long hair and all stuck out when I put my hair up.

Now I have short hair with a mid- parted fringe so my hair is always down and the baby hairs covered. Maybe change your style?

If not, a fuck ton of hairspray/ mousse/ wax?? Smooth them down with a toothbrush (clean obvs!) is another trick I’ve seen.

Thanks for replying @desperatehousewife21
I think your idea of a re style sounds like a good option my hair has gone so long and thick after having my dd I haven't had a chance to go to a hair dressers yet just been getting my mum to cut the ends for me.

And I like the toothbrush idea too that one I will try! I use the hair spray in the morning and by mid day I have hairs sticking out everywhere. Oh and I did try once putting a bit of my partner's wax in my hair but it just made it look really greasy lol 🤭😁

I haven't just had a baby and I have this all the time OP, I assumed everyone did!

If you wear your hair tied up a lot I would consider trying not to as it can cause breakage that will ultimately cause that to happen, though obviously not helpful if you prefer it up, need it up for work etc.

Otherwise get an old toothbrush, spray a bit of hairspray or mousse on it and gently brush the flyaways down, usually works a treat for me!

@dontgobaconmyheart I usually wear my hear up at the moment because my 8 month dd loves pulling my hair out and trying to eat it and I think it's got so long now that it annoys me having it down I feel like it's always getting in the way - think it's time to book an appointment at the salon.
But loving the toothbrush idea think I'm going to try that in the meantime, thankyou!
