Selling kids clothes online question

Probably quite late to the party but I’ve just discovered an app where you can sell clothes, not sure if I can name it on here? Rhymes with minted and I’m wondering whether to try selling some childrens clothes. All the info I’ve read suggests to sell things quite cheaply like t shirts for £1 etc and the sellers pay for packaging.

How does that work if you sell at shirt for £1 and the packaging (it recommends using a box) was say £1 and the buyer also has to pay postage say £1 or £2 so the buyer is paying say £4 for a pre loved t shirt?

Or have I got this wrong?

I’m wondering if it’s worth the effort trying to sell kids clothes? And is there a cheaper way of packaging? I’ve thought about using boxes I already have from the well known online shopping giant starting with A, but boxes unlikely to be the right size for 1 t shirt? What have others done?

If you’re talking about Vinted people like to buy bundles of kids clothes rather than single items to make the postage cost worthwhile

As for packaging I reuse packaging from other parcels eg I recycle the packaging from anything I buy on Amazon

Make bundles of clothes like pp said, good to have some good brands in next normally sell quite well. Maybe search and see what other sellers have listed?

Good idea.

So do I list the items separately and the buyer picks out their own bundle? How would packaging be calculated?

Or do I put together my own bundle (what if buyer requests to change some items)

Thanks for your help I’m totally new at this!

I would just put together your own bundles and make it e.g 20 items ages 0-3 months, 10 items 3-6 months etc.

When I buy bundles there's usually one or two things I don't like or wouldn't use but I just buy the bundle and then deal with it. I wouldn't be entertaining anyone tweaking the bundle if poss you'll end up bogged down in emails.

I've bought from that site, there's an option to pick your own items, then contact seller for a postage price. that's what I usually do, but I'd also be happy to buy per made bundles. Generally I receive stuff in reused packaging. Sometimes boxes and sometimes thicker carrier bags with the top folded in and lots of duck tape.
