Tint, highlights, colour...help!

My hair's got quite a bit of grey in the fringe only which is very ageing. I want to get colour done at the hairdressers as my usual box dyes aren't coming out well on all the grey.

I've never had colour done at a hairdressers and don't know what to ask for or what the difference is between all the options - tints, highlights, half head and all that! Can anyone help?

Same situation! But no expert 😬

Book a free ten minute consultation with a colourist (or two) to see what their ideas are.

I saw two, one suggested I bleach the whole lot white and then dye over it a copper baylarge. The othernone auggested I have a half head of highlights and lowlights to complement the grey rather than hide it.

Errrrrr

So I think am gonna go to the lady who suggested highlights and see what happens.

Semi permanent colour is a good bet. Permanent colour will leave a line of re growth within 10 days. Now that's ageing! And if you don't like it then it's easy to change.
Highlights can look nice if you like them. Ditto balayage. Can do these on semi permanent colour.
It Is a good idea to find a pic of some hair style you like and take it with you

Thanks - I hadn't thought about the semi-permanent / regrowth issue. This all seems very complicated and maybe I should just embrace old age!

I've recently started having highlights. They cover the grey plus any that grow through between appointments are almost unnoticeable thanks to the highlights.
