Moisturiser to combat redness - recommendations? Maybe La Roche-Posay?

My skin type is oily, but it's quite dry, red and itchy at the moment (I assume due to a combination of spending time outdoors in the cold + central heating). I have what a GP once called 'mild rosacea', although I've never seen a dermatologist.

I'm considering La Roche-Posay Rosaliac Anti-Rednessproducts... has anyone tried them? Are they any good? Any alternatives in the same price bracket (or less expensive!)?

I haven’t tried the one you mention but I do suffer from redness. I tend to use my regular moisturiser and follow up with the Erborian CC red correct cream which I only use where needed (so not actually all over my face) so find it lasts ages.

Agree with Erborian
azelaic acid in the morning
Online prescription for soolantra (at night, sometimes)
Then avene/eucerin
Lots of SPF 50 in the day to stop redness getting worse
I have mild rosacea and it can be tricky to manage but it has been under control for a long time now
Azelaic acid (I don’t get a prescription) is the main one
Cicaplast Baume at night of very red or as a once off face mask

Sounds like you have exactly the same skin issues as me. After a couple of years, I've found Avène Tolérance control soothing skin recovery balm or cream works wonders. Still get the odd flush but nothing like in previous winters!

I’ve got the Roche posay stuff. It’s nice but didn’t really change my redness. I got some soolantra from Superdrug (they do online prescriptions with a photo) & this has cured my redness and my skin is softer than it has ever been.

Thanks all.

Sounds as though Soolantra is good, however I've just had a quick look and it's not recommended while breastfeeding (my baby is only 4 months old and I fed my oldest for over 2 years, so I guess I'll be waiting a while to try it...).

The Avène definitely sounds worth a try, I'll get some of that and go from there...

My skincare routine currently consists of the Simple products... just a wash and moisturiser, but my skin is so dry/red/itchy right now I'm desperate and think I need to step up my game!
