Talk to me about hairdryers

I've never had a hairdryer that's cost more than £25 quid and I think I might be missing a trick. I always think my hair is dull, brittle and not soft but whenever I have it blow dried at a hair dresser it's always gorgeously soft (I know some of this is down to the product they use but I still can't achieve that even using the exact same products).

There's no way I'm spending hundreds on a Dyson but willing to spend up to maybe 80 quid on a better hairdryer than I have at the moment. I'm just after silky hair which mine used to be but now it's just frizzy and feels horrible.

Does it make a huge difference what hairdryer you use? Any recommendations? Or is it more about technique? Is a Dyson hair dryer really worth it?

I am thinking about getting her airwrap as a few people I know have it and say it’s great.

@Luckyelephant1 yes we have a water softener. Didn’t just get it for my hair though! Makes a difference, lots of salons have them
