Recommend a haircut for a jowel problems

I am, in general, happy with my skin and the way I am ageing (50+). The one area that I hate though is my jowels. I use a foreo bear, drink lots of water .........

On a thread recently somebody mentioned having a hair cut to disguise the jowels. My hair is just to shoulder length. Should I have it cut to chin length? Shorter? Where should it sit to disguise the problem? Any advice appreciated! Photo should be attached.

I have fillers in my jowl area and cheeks to lift the area and wear my hair long.

Do you have any before and afters? I haven't really explored this route yet (apart from a few emails I sent when I started noticing the developing situation).

Am interested to explore hair options first but an eye on more drastic ideas.

Sorry I don’t really have any photos to show the difference. I noticed I started to look a bit grumpy at about 47 and started with the fillers. I used to have them every 18 months, then 15 months and now annually. I’m almost 53 and feel I look how I feel now, I didn’t like looking a bit grumpy and sad.

I would say some shorter layers at the front that can swoop forward in front of your jowls without covering your whole face up and still letting you see. It will add natural shadow to your neck and jaw too.Smile

Mine is just above chin length and cut in lots of layers. It's wavy and still quite thick so it doesn't look too severe. I occasionally get bored and start growing it, until I remember why I keep it short - the extra length just drags my whole face down.

I also avoid any 'clutter' around my jawline as much as I can, e.g. no high necklines, no earrings, scarves are for warmth only kind of thing. Glasses can be useful, if you wear them, as they draw the eye upwards.

Weirdly when I wear glasses and have my hair up I look slightly less jowly than the rest of the time, so I'm not sure it's a one size fits all solution. Fillers in your jawline will straighten everything out to a degree but I know that's a big step for some.
