Have dyed my hair and want to take the colour out (safely) without paying high street salon prices (can't afford it) and then colour from scratch with something decent, any advice

I'm not a hair dresser but i colour my hair regualry and i go to our local hairdresser supply shop and buy a colour stripper. Its like a paste and takes all the colour out and leaves it a slightly reddish colour.I like it so much i often dont bother reapplying a colour over the top.I have been warned not to put a strong red over the top but i have and it takes fine.HTH.

is it permanent?, if not you could try mixing one part peroxide to 10 parts shampoo wash and repeat two or three times..if permanent, i WOULD NOT advize you do this yourself!, it wouldnt be able to be done succesfully, you would need to counteract the colour you have on now or totally strip it(not advised) then re-colour something like what you ar now wanting!..best bet is hairdresser im afraid!

TLV don't do it!! I have had numerous hair disasters over the years, ALL involving home colours. I finally gave up on the DIY jobs when I turned 40. Its expensive, I know, and I don't have much money either, but its money well spent I would say. Sorry if that's not much help
