Ski chalet wear?

Heading skiing soon. Staying in a chalet with others we don’t know. It’s a mid range chalet in France.

I’m struggling with what to wear in the evening that is warm and comfortable and not too scruffy. I don’t want to get all trussed up! Also what to wear on my feet? I don’t do slippers Grin obviously no heels. Flat boots for indoors?

I have a few nice cashmere jumpers. Anyone help? Thanks.

Jumper, thermal toasty leggings & uggs?

Trainers or flipflops indoors, leggings/jeans, jumper or long sleeved top (chalet probably warm).

Yup I'm with LIZS

I'm going to take birkenstocks for inside use I think (they are my slippers here too). I'd wear the cashmere jumpers with joggers or jeans probably. I always take too many non-skiing clothes - you don't need that many ime.

I don’t bother with shoes for the chalet, cosy socks are fine. Clothes wise, jeans and jumpers or nice lounge wear. Slouchy cardigans. Basically cosy and comfortable!

I’ve been to lots of chalets with people I don’t know and I have never seen people at all dressed up in the evening. Loafing round in your thermals and ski socks while you have your afternoon cake is pretty normal!

Thanks everyone! I want to be a bit more dressed up than thermals for the evening. So cosy cashmere jumper and jeans or nice jogging bottoms/harem type. Shoes -a bit trickier as I don’t have Uggs/Birkenstocks.

I might need to upgrade my jogging bottoms. Anyone got anything they’d recommend?

Take a few lighter options than cashmere
Jumpers. It is often very hot in a chalet especially with multiple bodies round a dinner table.

I never wear shoes in a chalet, it gets really filthy if you have many people all trampling around in their muddy boots. Warm socks. Leggings with a long sweater or long t-shirt+cardigan or hoodie. I agree with layers, it's more likely to be too warm than too cold.

Thanks! I’ll pop in my nice sweaty Betty leggings and posh SB fleece hoodie. I’ll also put in a couple of cashmere jumpers and jeans. I have a couple of nice silk shirts which would work with jeans and be slightly smarter and cooler!
