Work clothes for a tall and busty one

I'm on the tall side (5'10") and very busty.

I have a new job, which has a smart-casual dress code. I'm thinking of getting a couple of tunic type things, but with a bit of a waist. I might wear over slim cut trousers or even tregging type things and boots. I'm not allowed to wear jeans or trainers.

Also thought maybe a shirt over trousers and a smart-ish jumper over the top might look nice.

I like dresses, but if they are low cut or in any way short, they are obscene on me due to height and boobs.

I am a size 18, but size up to a 20 in tight fitting things or size down to 16 in looser things.

Also, are lace up boots, not as chunky as DMs, but still a bit chunky, too casual?

@Isonthecase

I've found Jaeger to be good for blazers, I have one from there that has magnificently long arms and was very cheap in a sample sale.

How do you find the sleeve length on fat face @MavisEnderby74?

The FatFace Simone dresses are short sleeved, so sleeve length not an issue.

The LTS long sleeved dresses are probably about an inch too long for me, but I can live with that!

Hello.5”9’ here and very busty. It’s a pain.
Unfortunately avoid bravissimo - their clothes come up really short. Even in longer dresses this matters as the waist is in the wrong place. If you want to persist then the Jessica dress style is flattering and I find it’s get awayable on me so might be ok. The waist is still a bit high but it looks ok due to the style (I go for straight skirt, not the flared ones). Avoid anything long sleeved with bravissimo

I agree with gap tall but their range is mostly jeans. They have tops that I live in though and if paired with a skirt then the long sleeved ones are smart enough for a smart/casual work.

My feet are smaller than yours op but I bet they are wider! After years of forcing them into shoes then I’ve stopped and wear comfy footwear… ahhhhhh…. I love boots and seem to be able to get them in slightly wider fit more successfully than shoes. Boots are good for smart casual work. I now wear sneakers a lot. Even though I feel like I’m trying to make some kind of misjudged style statement nobody bats an eyelid (or notices). Once you take the plunge there’s no turning back!

Trousers are your friend with boots as some skirts are harder to pair with boots. M&S have a large range of long trousers. Their regular fit me and their long were too long. I have some wide legged ones I got for work - only £15 a pair they were brilliant value.
