Hi, please can I have some help from all you stylish people 😊

So I have been offered a job in a school office and, without children of school age, I'm not familiar with what would be suitable to wear?

I'd like to be smart but not stuffy.

Any pics of ideas would be REALLY great! Thank you!

It's normally the caretaker or TA that has to deal with sick etc, not the admin staff. [/quote]

After 22 years working in schools I can assure you lots of admin staff clean up bodily fluids Grin.
The caretaker works a split shift so isn’t in school 10 - 3, the cleaners start at 3.30 and the TAs are often teaching the class or sorting out other children.
So yes there might be some cleaning to do.

My experience of primary school office staff is whatever makes you feel smart and comfortable. Whether that’s leggings and a nice jumper or a dress with tights. I teach at a faith school and our office staff dress nice but casual. No jeans and definitely flat shoes but other than that try not to over think it. Good luck, I hope you love the job.
Ah thank you - I hope I do too!

I'm a School Sec in an independent primary.
I wear dresses with either a plain jersey or velvet blazer. My dresses are all fun prints though and as comfy footwear is a must, we all rock the doc martens style boots with dresses look at our school.
Comfort is key, but I also like to look smart ish as front of house.
I put my foot down about vomit years ago so the teachers/TA's deal with that, but I don't mind blood - I just quickly pop on a plastic apron and gloves to deal with the situation.

In the office at our school they tend to wear long tops and smart trousers, however on a group I'm in a lot of school staff wear popsy dresses, they cover you well and have pockets!

I work in a primary school office. I wear black trousers and usually a nice blouse with some flat black shoes. Make sure you have a comfy pair of shoes, I'm constantly up and down going all around the school during the day. Good luck with the new job.

Washable!
Particularly if you're expected to become a first aider.

All of the above - comfy, practical etc, I'd just add check your necklines - try bending forwards in front of a mirror and if you can see bra/boobs, it's not suitable (boatnecks are a bugger for this - they look perfectly fine when upright but if you bend down to speak to a small child/tie a shoelace, suddenly all is on show!)
