Need urgent trouser advice...! (TMI alert...)

OK, have decided its now time to ditch the maternity trousers but HORRORS, after 3rd baby, my sizing is all up the swanny, as stomach now even larger than colossal hips.

Maternity is perfect as fits round bum but allows for large and, er, sagging stomach (have scars from C-sections and REALLY bad diastasis/separation) But I really can't go out and buy maternity stuff when I'm not pregnant can I - that would be too depressing.

And buying in a larger size is just equally depressing since then they are cavernous and awful round the arse and hips (well, not that cavernous, I'm still a good size 16-18... boo!) at the moment...

So what are my options?

only ever buy drawstring trousers until I can find time for an hour a day of exercise?

pay to have things altered?

find the perfect very expensive brand that works on me? (any suggestions?)

buy hipsters?

Someone must have solved this problem already surely?

You could eschew clothes and become a naturist? Probably best to move somewhere warm first.

I meant my own pendulous abdomen, by the way

I have had two in very close succession leaving my belly looking like an empty sack.
I either tuck it into jeans, like an apron or buy £15 stretchy M&S jeans, 'on the waist' ones.
They fit on the arse and hips amd thinghs and cover the belly well and sort of keep it in and shape it well.
Can even wear a tightish top with these as no muffin top is formed as jeans are close to armpits.
Very, very comfortable actually.

Susannah and Trinny (those witches!) reckon hipsters are better for those of the larger bottom/tummy and are less inclined to give you muffin top, but I really cant see that. Hasnt worked for me, just end up with a draft down the back and constantly hoiking them up.

go to matalan

their £10 bootleg trousers are quite generous in the waist

get some control thingies when you want to feel thinner here

you know what? i think that if you feel most comfy wearing maternity trousers, then get yourself a new pair of those! you can get the kind with adjustable waist, that should minimise any look of being preggers...

i have always found fat face trousers to have a flattering cut...when i was a size 16/18, they looked nicest on me...suited my shape, whilst minimising any overhang!

evans start from a 16 i think....i'm guessing being styled for the more curvy lady, they would have a good range of trews that you could try....

good luck.
