Wide toed shoes for work?

Comfytoes · 23/01/2022 20:04

After many years, I have concluded that narrow toed work shoes are dreadful for my nails and the pain is just not worth it!
I’ve fallen into the habit of wearing trainers around the office, but I’d rather not do that really.

Can anyone recommend some smart, comfortable office shoes that won’t squish my poor toes? Ideally no more than a low heel (also not worth the pain!).

Thank you Smile

These wide fit Gabor ankle boots are comfortable www.charlesclinkard.co.uk/women-c1/boots-c3/ankle-boots-c100/gabor-bolan-women-ankle-boots-p40156#attribute%5B1%5D=91

Pavers have a selection of wide fitting shoes

I'm living in my Vivobarefoot shoes these days. I have the Geo Court II in pink leather and they are as soft as butter after the first day of wearing.

Lots options in black etc for less vivid feet.

Both Dorothy Perkins and New Look have lovely wide fit ranges.

I wear black lace up ankle boots I got from Vivobarefoot - totally flat as well

I always buy Clark’s for work.

Marks and Spencers normally have a good selection of shoes that are wided toed and suitable for the office.

Brogues from Clarks back when I actually went to the office.

I get all my wide feet shoes from Next or New Look

I second (third?) the suggestion to try Vivobarefoot or similar. Look up the difference between the shape of most standard shoes and feet - many shoes are designed in a way that squashes toes and creates/exacerbates long term issues like bunions. There's a great graphic out there somewhere that shows this but, typically, I can find it right now!
Foot shaped' shoes are much nicer, imo. Vivobarefoot are a good start point- though they're still one of the narrower brands of 'barefoot' shoes. I have a couple of pairs of boots from them and they're lasting really well.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I think I need to research the foot shaped shoes Smile
