Why do clothes retailers stop boys clothes at 10 ish? It's mad, do 10yos not NEED clothes or something? Where do you all get yours?

Yesterday I wanted to buy pyjamas for 10yo ds but a lot of website only go up to 7-8 yo, WHY? It's bizarre imo. I clicked on about the first 5 links google brought up to find that they didn't go beyond 7-8, I don't understand it.

Boden do (but out of stock on the ones he wanted) but LOTS don't. Why?

And if your child is older where do you buy their clothes? Online preferably. I got pyjamas from a company I've never heard of in the end, Kite kids.

i dont know about online but i have loads of problems getting any clothes for ds1(who is 10 next month)as he is big for his age and currently wears 12-13 clothes, but none of the shops seem to sell clothes bigger than that for boys, and mens clothes are way too big!
most of the hight street shope and supermarkets do girls clothes up to age 15 so i dont get it.

going upto 7-8 is ridiculous IMO.my ds2 is only 4 and in 6-7 clothes.maybe lads are meant to sleep in their undies once they reach junior school age?

My ds1 is 10 so i guess i will be having problems finding clothes soon.
I do find the lack of decent pjs hard. He doesn't want spiderman etc! Just plain/football will do!

It's strange isn't it? Ds and I went into loads of shops last time I wanted to get him clothes and they didn't do 10yo sizes.

Gap do, I have to admit so he's mostly wearing Gap atm with some Asda stuff bought by ex MIL

My two DSs (11 and 10) are in everything GAP and Boden at the moment, simply because we can't find anything anywhere else.

TKMaxx have a bit of stuff, but not much.

Ds is almost 20 (tomorrow!) but has always been very small for his age & we've had problems getting clothes for him for years - he really needs about age 15 clothes, butapparently boys jump from about age 12 sizes to adult sizes overnight, because they obviously don't need clothes in sizes in between.

Mostly I got things from La Redoute, but Debenhams do quite a good range of sizes.
PJs were always particularly difficult as ones that fitted him always had cartoon characters on that were much too childish - he's slept in ordinary T-shirts & cotton jersey shorts for years

I bought pjs from here but they only go up to age 10! WHY? I really don't understand.
