Can you advise me on the best heel balm for assisting with the removal of dead skin? I have feet like a griffin and the cold weather's making it even worse.

You have to take the dead skin off first before you use a balm. Soak your feet in warm water and then get a foot file, buy it in any chemist, and GENTLY exfoliate the skin.

When you have taken a good bit off put any really rich cream on, doesn't have to be expensive, Vaseline intensive care is good. Then wrap your feet in cling film and go to bed. You will have baby soft feet in the morning!!

Crabtree and Evelyn (sp?) do a La Source heel/feet thing. It is extremely good. And that comes from one who doesn't have feet but who has hooves

Also, the Body Shop foot file is great. Always use it on dry skin and file the one way so you don't build up a ridge of skin. Use the file on dry skin, then the La Source. Feet will be fantastic afterward.

Smother with cream and try to do little top ups as often as you can. I smother cream on before bed and sometimes wear socks to let it soak in really well. Obviously on the nights I'm wearing my nightie tied tightly at both ends and not the nights when I'm preparing to be ravished

The scholl one is good - I use it on DH and his heels are something else! I call them eagle claws - but not after the Scholl
