The best handcream known to man (or me really) is Neutrogena Norwegian formula 24 hour thingy. Costs about £4 a tube. Claims to contain 300 uses.
I bought 3 at the beginning of April 2020 when we were all scrubbing ourselves all day with harsh anti-bac stuff.
Still on first tube. It's bloody amazing.
It's not sexy, it's not luxurious. It's just a little miracle. I literally use a pea sized blob every 2 or 3 nights.
The body lotion is the same. Best ever. Huuuuuge bottle, sinks in really quickly, smells fresh and seems really "light" but it's amazing.

I tried others (Aveeno, O'Keefe's etc- good but not holy grail)

Eye cream- Kiehl's avocado is about the best for dry skin around eyes. If you're after a more anti-ageing effect though, just take any serum up to your eye area.

My favourite primer remains Clarins Instant Smooth. Tbh, I don't always use one, as I use frezyderm spf50 sunscreen which has a primer effect.

If you're prone to eczema have you looked at the La Roche Posay ranges? Toleriane is v good.

Thank you so much for all of that I'm on my way to boots as we speak! I use the LRP body stuff and face moisturiser and really like it so may look at their eye cream And serums too.

Thanks again

Handcream- O'Keefes

You just need CeraVe , will sort your dry bits out in no time.

Luredbyapomegranate · 06/01/2022 23:44

Noooo I have the driest skin known to woman… that is my crown of thorns.

Best body lotion I have found is o’keefes. Pleasing yellow bottle like American mustard. Also good is la Roche posay lipikar, but is a lot more £££

Best hand cream - o’keefes for day, l’occitane 25% Shea butter at night (with cotton gloves, if you really want to sort claw hands out) - l’occitane is a lot more £££, so I have high hopes for the o’keefes night hand cream which I haven’t tried yet.

Best eye cream - hands down - Is Bobbi brown extra. It’s ££££ but it lasts a long time, it’s far better make than Kielhs avocado if you skin is super dry.

I have extremely dry hands with eczema, and found Aveeno Hand Relief, Norwegian Formula, O'Keefes or Kiehls Ultimate Strength Handsalve great in the day.

BUT what really helps me, is at night I cover my hands in olive oil, extra virgin (cos I'm fancy!) it's quite thick, rub it in a little and then put on cotton gloves. Sorts them right out and hugely improves my nails too.

Inthesameboatatmo · 07/01/2022 06:37

I have eczema prone skin also, the only thing that works for me in the winter is good old nivea in the blue tub.

You should try an emollient for your hands if they’re super dry. There are plenty of eye creams and primers with the word moisturising in their name. Make sure you get an eye cream rather than one with a gel formula. Make sure you use a moisturiser too instead of just a primer.

BbqFanatic · 07/01/2022 06:52

O'keefes hand cream - I don't like its texture but it fixes the roughness you get from very dry hands. All other creams feel like they just mask the problem until next time

DobbleDobble · 07/01/2022 06:53

Good ole Vaseline for all of them , I’ve found Vaseline around the eyes very soothing.

Vaseline at night in gloves for the hands and actually works well moisturising all over at nighttime for the body.
I have very dry skin with eczema too.
Failing that , Aveeno lotion for face and cream for body .

ByeByeMissAmericanPie · 07/01/2022 06:53

I find most of the Eucerin brand pretty good for face and body.

For hand, Aveno, Palmers Coco Butter and Norwegian Formula seem good.

However, the skin on my hands split around the nails when it gets really cold and windy. That’s when I get out Flexitol and slather it on before bed. Smells awful, but works brilliantly.

I use a mix of high street and high end things on my super sensitive dry flaky eczema skin. LRP toleraine spray is great pre moisturiser but I don't use the LRP moisturisers because the tubes are rubbish and you end up cutting them open when half full because they just won't squeeze out any more.

Id recommended the Bioderma 'Atoderm' range (available at boots) and their facial spf is the only one that doesn't sting/ irritate my eyes. For flaky eyes I use medik8 'press and glow' mild acid/ toner .. only thing that gets rid of the flakes. Moisturiser without it just 'sticks' them back on.

Also adding either Elizabeth Arden ceramide capsules to your routine (expensive) or Holland Barrett pure vitamin E (cheap) mix with chosen moisturiser makes a huge difference.

NIOD FECC is a great eye treatment. Oil rather than usual eye gel formula. And only thing I've found that doesn't cause irritation on my eyelids.
