ok I'm making a list and i'm checking it twice of things i want need to buy in the sales so i don't come home again with more bed linen and crazy shoes. A decent pair of jeans is pretty high on the list. I'm 5ft2 on a good day, with a curvacous bum ( i like to think j-lo ish )a narrow waist and a stomach that resembles a giant 70 year blamange. Flattering jeans seem to be a bit of a mission impossible , I wore the last pair of jeans that I loved (wrangler ) until they finally came apart at the seams and the only other ones that are ok are m&s bootcut ones. Any ideas????

obviously, you should go and buy another pair of wranglers as you seemed to love the last pair you had.
No need to mess with a formula that works!

elliephant · 22/12/2007 11:21

have tried but the style discontinued . they were slightly bootcut and on the waist. made my legs seem oh at least a 1/4inch longer.i liked them so much i even patched them up to prolong their life but decided patching them twice would be just too much

Have you any outlet stores near you? They may have discontinued Wrangler lines there?

Pk616 · 22/12/2007 11:27

What about Levi 629's?

"More bed linen and crazy shoes" PMSL That's what I buy!

Probably too late but I have just bought a lovely pair of John Rocha jeans that I bought in Debenhams, I have a yuge flabby mummy belly and they are very flattering.

JackieNoel · 22/12/2007 16:52

I bought some of these from Monsoon the other day, after trying on about 12 pairs in M&S and getting more and more frustrated. Similar body shape to yours (though I'm probably larger all over)

janeite · 22/12/2007 17:18

I'm a similar shape to you (5,2, small waist, wobbly belly, size 12, bum probably flatter unfortunately) and the best jeans I've found lately have been Gap ankle fit (their petite range) dark boot cut long and leans; the waist is about an inch lower than I'd like but they are very flattering on the bum and legs.

Red Herring in debenhams are also good

missingtheaction · 24/12/2007 16:09

there are some jeans called Tummy Tuck by someone called Not Your Daughter's Jeans. I know, i know, but they really do work fantastically. Unfortunately they are very expensive but here is one site that stocks them - i've tried them on and they really workK
look at this page

ggirlsbells · 24/12/2007 17:49

do they not give you major muffin top?

fizzbuzz · 24/12/2007 18:50

Can you go in a shop and buy them, or are they only available online? I think I would have to try a lot on to find the right one.

They look very interesting
