Can I ask for recommendations for a decent, non greasy, moisturiser for an almost 30 year old? Anything under £20 please?

What skin type? I have normal to dry skin and use CeraVe or Simple. No need to spend any more on a day cream IMO

dreamerlemur · 29/12/2021 13:10

Aldi or Lidl ranges , never had a bad skin product from there.

redtulip12 · 29/12/2021 13:14

Aldi caviar moisturiser. Used to use expensive ones and this is just as good if not better.

tappitytaptap · 29/12/2021 13:23

The Ordinary moisturising factors is good and cheap.

NotquitewhatImeant · 29/12/2021 14:25

I use cerave in the tube - spf25 one or the plain one that says night. Works really well for me - I switched from a much more expensive one to it

DaddypigLTB · 29/12/2021 16:13

Thank you for all the responses! I'd say I have pretty normal skin, no real skin routine and 2 under 3 so not much time for one!
Think I will look for Cerave on e with SPF to cover all bases, cheers!!

Olliesocks · 29/12/2021 17:09

Sunscreen everyday.

I love No7 skincare. This set is amazing value www.boots.com/no7-the-ultimate-skincare-collection-10297951

gogohm · 29/12/2021 17:15

Aldi caviar is good, circa £6

Pinkbonbon · 29/12/2021 17:28

I'm 33 and I think I've preferred the 'simple' range overall. And I've started using olay night cream religiously. My skin feels a lot happier for it.

Marble2021 · 29/12/2021 18:29

Simple moisturiser is great. Very cheap too

DJBW14 · 29/12/2021 19:56

Aveno wheat germ moisturiser is really good

mobear · 29/12/2021 20:27

Dr Hauschka or La Roche Posay both do great moisturisers under £20.

TwinkleToesStrikesAgain · 29/12/2021 20:41

La Roche Posay have great moisturisers with SPF50

Lennon80 · 29/12/2021 21:15

All nip and fab stuff is excellent and my go to despite trying much more expensive stuff their ranges are amazing.

Clarabellawilliamson · 29/12/2021 21:18

Currently using the toluraine la Roche posay but I actually really like the Aldi Q10 cream, which is £1.45!

KittyKate478 · 29/12/2021 21:28

Nivea light
About £2 a tube!

tealandteal · 29/12/2021 21:33

I really like Face Theory, they have lots depending on your skin type. I use one with spf in the day and a really lovely oil free light one for the evening. I use a range of products from there and would really recommend them! Very effective and good value for money.

BakeOffRewatch · 29/12/2021 21:35

I use this, cheap and SPF 30. Agree day cream is functional and £££ isn’t worth it. Money goes on serums and acids. I don’t compromise on SPF as sun protection is the biggest factor in ageing.

www.revolutionbeauty.com/uk/en/skincare/moisturise-and-prep/moisturisers/revolution-skincare-spf30-oil-control-moisturiser/1264242.html

Boots and ASOS stock it, so I stock up on it when there’s a 20% off or other big offer.

BakeOffRewatch · 29/12/2021 21:36

£10 and It’s not sticky like other high spf can be, and good base for makeup.

wonderspread · 29/12/2021 23:04

I second @tealandteal Facetheory is fab, I use the Amil C Whip for day and it’s honestly the best moisturiser I’ve ever used (I use a separate SPF, they do a version with it but I’ve not tried that).

If you have little time for skincare but want to focus a bit more on it, Facetheory products give good multitasking bang for your buck IMO. Plus they refund if the product doesn’t work for you.

wonderspread · 29/12/2021 23:06

Forgot to add, it’s £16.99 for a pot which lasts me about 2 months, you don’t need much. They have a lot of offers on though and there’s always a code around somewhere so I don’t think I’ve ever paid the listed price, although I would anyway.

I honestly don’t work for them Grin

Showpan · 29/12/2021 23:10

Oh, haven't heard of FaceTheory. Commenting so I don't forget!

Kelpie78 · 29/12/2021 23:26

I've used simple rich for years, it's great.
