Capsule wardrobe plus size low budget - where to start?

As the title says.
Spent 2021 organising myself at work and home, and have decided 2022 is the year I will organise my person!
I am looking to get started on a capsule wardrobe of about 25-30 items, including everything but nightwear and underwear.
I have done some reading up and have decided my colours will be black, blue and green.
Some basics:
Size 24 (I will be working on this over the year, but intend to sell/donate clothes if necessary. I don't want to waste any more time waiting until I have lost weight)
Height 5ft 4in
Age 54
Skin fair
Hair short, dark red
Eyes blue
Budget low, max £100 per month
Problem areas- everywhere but specifically massive tummy, upper arms and thighs. Double chin
Style casual/classic. I work from home.

Anyone up for a challenge?

OP, if you're on Instagram I would really suggest following Laura Adlington. She was on Bake Off and posts some really great highstreet wear for plus size.

No black for autumns. Having said that, I do wear it occasionally but I try not to put it next to my face.

Katyppp If you filter ‘autumn’ on the Kettlewell Colours clothing website you will get a good idea of the colours . Some will suit you better than others but they will all be good 👍

Thanks for the help sofar!
My colours were done around 30 years ago and I think the company was Colour Me Beautiful. I was pretty sceptical at the time (early 20s) and it was done as a freebie for something I was doing at work.
I am pretty sure I was autumn, but reading up on it I am now wondering as I have blue eyes and fair/reddish skin, which doesn't seem to be autumn colouring Confused
At the moment, I pretty much lie in black, so cutting it out of my wardrobe would be a massive deal for me.

With your colouring I was surprised you plan to use black as a base colour. There is plenty of information about colour theory on Pinterest. I’m an autumn too and work in a non office environment. Black seems like a safe option but I think you’ll find other colours will suit you better.
One tip I found helpful was to look at the colour of the edge of your iris. I have green eyes and the edge of my iris is grey rather than black. Another tip is to check the colour of your veins inside your wrist. Greenish indicates that you are warm, autumn rather than blue which is summer/winter.
I use grey, charcoal rather than mid or silver as my base. I have charcoal, green and blue jeans and several dark grey dresses. Dark green or olive is also good on me. I don’t wear black shoes either apart from at night. I like green and blue but keep away from true navy; Kettlewell colours is a good website for reference. You can brighten things up with brighter colours like turquoise.
There are several companies online that sell clothes which are multi sized so a long cardigan would be a good layer to have. I buy a few basics from Sainsburys and add bits from elsewhere.

Ebay. I get almost all of my clothes there now and there are some ridiculous bargains.
I recently bought a Jaques Very evening dress for £5. Mint condition.

Vert

The thrift.plus site can be great but be careful on the sizing. So much is put down as 24/26/28 when it should be W24/W26/W28 etc. It's very annoying. Sometimes you can spot it as the brands just don't do plus size, but not always.

Sit rep: I have taken delivery of two of the three orders I have made (asos and schuh) and literally everything is black!
I have another order due (M&S) which I think had a few colours included, but I am struggling here 😭😭😭

I have decided to have a go at project 333, so have sorted out my wardrobe, leaving just 10 items in it.
I have decided to stick to my original colour palatte as changing from black just seemed to big a step at this part of the journey. I also cannot afford to start completely from scratch as a lot of my basics are black.
But I will be reviewing my wardrobe every three months and will be adding more items that are not black as the originals wear out.
Quite excited about it tbh. I love structure and rules so this is right up my street!

Black is a neutral but does not suit everybody. If you are doing the seasons, be aware Black (and white) only suit winters. I am a Spring, I believe and look terrible with black near my face. True also for a stark (winter) white, look better with a yellowy white (Cream, Ecru). You can wear it on your bottom half if you want.

Unless you are 'forced' to wear a black suit at work say, then try another neutral such as navy or perhaps a brown or dark or warm grey.

Of course no one can force you not to wear black unless you have to wear it at work but if you are buying new clothes and don't want to waste money be aware of what actually will suit you. I have warm brown hair and blue eyes and black near my face robs me of colour and I look 'dead', also there is a particular shade of burgundy which does nothing good for me!
