Which of these knits do you prefer?

Im considering one of them. I am 5'4" and slight/slim build. Blonde, cool tone skin.
My style is usually minimal boho (no patterns), long skirts, corduroy, cashmere. I would wear either jumper with long skirts or mini's & wool tights/boots.

I update one knit per year, sometimes two, and i love all three!
Stone colour crop is by Margaret Howell, cream tunic by Poetry, and indigo slouch by Celtic&Co.

MH one is nicest by a long way IMO

stickybear · 01/12/2021 18:03

The tunic is my favourite! Lovely. Not keen on the neckline of the Celtic one

Time40 · 01/12/2021 18:18

Blue first, then cream and stone quite a long way behind - I'm not keen on the neckline of the stone one.

XingMing · 01/12/2021 20:40

Of the three choices, I'd probably opt for the indigo because the colour is less vulnerable to stains but I like them all.

Dancingonmoonlight · 01/12/2021 20:44

I’d go with the MH one followed by the indigo one.
I like the Poetry but I can’t wear alpaca wool next to my skin so would automatically rule it out and it’s too long to be versatile.

AuldFox · 01/12/2021 20:54

MH wins by a country mile

asparalite · 01/12/2021 21:39

MH one definitely, very smart.

NovemberNovemberDarkNights · 01/12/2021 22:30

@Pheasantlysurprised

Im amused at how unpopular the tunic is, i love it!
If you love it, you should get that one!

It might look nicer on, in that one photo it just looks designed for bigger people (ie me) if I was still your size (but shorter!) I prefer the 1st one then the third one.

FindingMeno · 01/12/2021 22:33

Love the neckline on the indigo slouch.

KillingMeDeftly · 01/12/2021 22:54

The MH looks the most modern. The other two are a bit boring.

WeirdArchitecture · 01/12/2021 23:00

NovemberNovemberDarkNights
that is so weird because i have always struggled with clothes, most are too big for me and i envy women who can carry them off with grace and aplomb! I know everyone seems to want to be thinner, so i can't argue with that, but i dream of that brisk, capable figure that has a rosy glow and can comfortably take up space...

whatever size we are, there's something up!

Cailleach1 · 01/12/2021 23:04

I think the tunic is lovely. The cream will go with everything, and it can be more casual or dressy. The shape looks very flattering.

The stone comes second. It has a lovely shetland wool look, but is also a nice shape. A beautiful knit, but may not be as flattering on.

The blue/teal is probably lovely in real life. In a photo, it doesn't look special in a way that the tunic and stone ones do.

IslaInthesun · 02/12/2021 05:52

I don't like the tunic at all, the others are okay

WeeTattieBogle · 02/12/2021 06:06

I think they’re all lovely but as a cool blonde (I’m a summer) I’d have the one from C and Co.

And you can wear cream and beige with your skin tone - as long as it’s the correct one.

AwkwardSquad · 02/12/2021 06:21

The MH one, it’s lovely, a great shape and it’ll last and last if you look after it.

Darklane · 02/12/2021 07:52

Well, I’m obviously out of step with the majority.
I think the tunic is by far the nicest. The yarn is better quality, finer but warm because of the alpaca, next to cashmere the softest, warmest & finest. The fit is the most flattering, smoother line & hangs better.
The indigo is next best, like the colour & the collar, the quality is usually very good from them.
The MH is by far the worst for me. The fit is very unflattering, it’s bulky & makes her shoulders look like an all in wrestler but worst of all is the neckline. It’s a bulky yarn, far too thick for the double layered ribbing round the neck which makes it sit very badly, looking at it from a very experienced hand knitters point of view. Would have been far more flattering with a single rib neck finishing & better shaping on the shoulders.

MoltonSilver · 02/12/2021 08:07

I love the indigo one. Its a bit different. If it wasn't 100% wool I'd buy it myself. The other two are nice but boring.

WeeTattieBogle · 02/12/2021 08:12

@Darklane

I like the tunic in the middle as well. It’s my favourite but colour wise the indigo one would be nice on the Op

BusterGonad · 02/12/2021 08:50

On reflection I actually like the tunic too. 😂

BadPlaceJanet · 02/12/2021 09:08

There are £20 codes for Celtic kicking around at the minute btw OP, if you go for that one. I'm also looking at that one for myself in the olive shade, just can't really justify another jumper when I've still Christmas presents to buy...

well my mind was rolling along similarly to yours, i must admit.

Not sure i like the way the fabric pulls at the neckline on the Celtic one either though, wish i could see it in real life.
A lot of MH styling is quite masculine (no issue if this suits you), and i agree that the Poetry tunic flows in a way that i prefer.

After just liking the 3rd one, I've had another look and still don't like the first one, and like the neck but not the sleeves on the middle one.

raffegiraffe · 02/12/2021 22:33

First one

SmaugMum · 02/12/2021 22:41

If you value longevity, and still wish to have a jumper in your cupboard in 15 years, then definitely opt for the Margaret Howell knit. I have a few that are 20-years-old, and, because I’ve cared for them, they still look in brilliant condition.

shinynewapple21 · 02/12/2021 22:43

You have a similar colouring to me and I can also wear those colours . Love all the jumpers !
