Are tear trough fillers worth it?

Anyone had any experience with this kind of filler? At my wits end with dark undereye circles but I don't want to waste money if it doesn't really do anything. My undereye area is severely bad, and no cream does anything sadly!

Following.....
went through the process to book a consultation online but chickened out at the last minute...

Depends on if the darkness is from shadow (which filler can help with) or if it just from the blood vessels showing through thinning skin. If you have hollowing under the eyes filler is good to plump things up but you can look puffy if they are over filled so make sure you go to someone reputable.

@MopaniTree I had it done twice with a doctor in Marylebone (London). Really liked it. It lasted just under a year each time. I’m going to have it done again in a couple of months.

It’s important to get a good assessment to see if fillers are what you need to address the issue that’s bothering you. I had a bit of hollowness under my eyes, not too much but it did make my undereye area look darker and a bit sunken in. Fillers made a massive difference. I still use concealer though, because the skin is a little translucent in that area, which causes the blueness.

The first time was actually better than the 2nd, because on the 2nd application I think the doctor put more filler in the inner area close to the nose, and less in the outer area, which does show depending on the angle or lighting. I will give him this feedback when I go back for my 3rd application.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure if the darkness is from the blood vessels or hollowness..maybe both? I think they are hereditary and I've had them all my life. Worse now that I've gotten older. @Mcmcmcmc can I ask roughly how much your paid going to a Dr. The prices I've seen are for a nurse aesthetician and roughly £230.

I've had tear trough fillers and I love them OP!

My under eyes are still dark because that can't be changed but now I just need to pop a bit Of concealer on and look really fresh instead of baggy eyes and weird bits when I smile.

Mine cost £400. Definitely could've got it cheaper but went to a qualified nurse who had lots of examples of tear trough work. She did it over 2 trips to make sure it looked really natural too, was worth paying the extra

Whereabouts is she, please?

Does it work for eye bags!? Like the puffy type!?

blisstwins · 30/11/2021 17:17

I also have them and they just soften the lines and made my bags smaller looking/more even. I do not get botox on my crow's feet, but softening the undereye makes me look fresher, but natural.

MopaniTree · 30/11/2021 21:51

I think I'm going to book in for these, but it won't be till after Christmas. I'll try to update on here afterwards! Fingers crossed its not a waste of money Sad

@Palavah sorry I've just seen your question. She's in Solihull, near Birmingham. DM me if you want her details and I'll send website

StormBaby · 07/12/2021 08:18

I had it done in august, was £250, and made a huge difference, I will definitely go back. It did not hurt at all.

HollowTalk · 07/12/2021 08:19

Does anyone have before and after photos?

TeethingBabyHelp · 07/12/2021 11:24

@HollowTalk I'll try to attach a couple of before and a couple of after. No filters on any and foundation and concealer in all.

So I still use make up under eye cos they can't fix the darkness but the baggy stuff has gone. I didn't have crows feet so no Botox on my eyes (but some on forehead), just the fillers for my eyes

I hope they post and you can see a difference! My mom is adamant I look the same but I feel much fresher and I'm
Happy with it

I've made a bit of a hash of those posts but hopefully you get the gist Grin

LouiseBelchersBunnyEars · 07/12/2021 15:29

I’m really seriously considering these!
I have massive hollows under my eyes , and no amount of concealer shifts them.

If anyone has any reputable suggestions for London Essex area, please let me know.

HollowTalk · 07/12/2021 15:42

They look great, @TeethingBabyHelp! Thanks for posting.

TeethingBabyHelp · 07/12/2021 15:49

Thank you @HollowTalk Smile

Gwenhwyfar · 07/12/2021 20:59

I want this as well. I live abroad though and don't know where to look for recommendations. At the moment, mine are so dark that concealer just does nothing.

@Mcmcmcmc could you tell me who you went to, I am looking for someone in that area. Thanks!

RoseRedRoseBlue · 08/12/2021 01:05

I would love a recommendation for Surrey or London if possible...and @TeethingBabyHelp you look fabulous!

MopaniTree · 08/12/2021 01:17

@TeethingBabyHelp yiu look great in your photos, a real difference. My under eyes are really very bad though so I just wondered if the filler will make any difference.

@MsFogi dr Joney de Souza.
OP asked how much it cost - I don’t remember exactly but it was around £300-£400.

MsFogi · 08/12/2021 23:03

Thanks @Mcmcmcmc Flowers
