Hi
I am a 49 yr old lady who is looking for tips/recommendations for my aging face. I have a big birthday coming up and want to look my best. I have tried botox but I am not keen. I don't want to look 10 years younger, just less tired. I would really appreciate any advice. Thank you

Experiment on different serums or oil for your skin especially in winter.
Subtle make up is best, leave alone eyelash extensions. Some root volume in your hair will also lift your face.
You look lovely though, most importantly look how you feel comfortable.

You look fabulous. Have you tried your makeup without the bottom eyeliner or a bit of eyeshadow there instead? Maybe play around with puffing up your hair a bit. You look great.

Firstly you look great and your skin is lovely.

I find that eating healthy fats like avocado and nuts and keeping well hydrated can really help with looking fresh.

You have a lovely symmetrical face. I think you'd look great with a fringe, it'll take years off. Smile

TulipVictory · 23/11/2021 14:50

I second the fringe 100%

BreasticlesNotTesticles · 23/11/2021 14:58

Fringe and fuller brows 😊

crosbystillsandmash · 23/11/2021 14:59

Definitely a fringe!!
I cut one in when I was bored during lockdown, best decision ever.

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 23/11/2021 15:02

You're lovely looking! I agree with a fringe and I think that a lighter, luminous foundation would flatter your skin more more.

NoBetterthanSheShouldBe · 23/11/2021 15:03

I disagree with the fringe comments - at approaching 50 an unwrinkled brow is unusual, youthful and certainly something to show off!

I’d get an updo for the party and any big occasions but you look great.

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 23/11/2021 15:05

I use a Bobbi Brown concealer (from a pot) to conceal the darkness next to my eyes/nose. It really helps under foundation but isn't heavy.

RestingMurderousFace · 23/11/2021 16:32

You're a very pretty woman, enjoy it.

SocksAndTheCity · 23/11/2021 17:58

I think your skin looks lovely and I would ditch the heavy foundation altogether and maybe try a primer with a nice dewey finish - you can ways add a bit of concealer or foundation on any little bits that need evening out after. I also agree w PP about the dark eyeliner and eyebrow reshaping; I had mine microbladed and it was a gamechanger, but obviously there are cheaper ways to do it.

If you want to try a fringe you could buy a clip in one without committing yourself? Your hair looks nice but a bit flat; an updo to show off your face would be my choice rather than faff with it, but then I'm not good at hair ConfusedGrin

Thank you so much for the kind and honest comments, I appreciate them all. My hair is very thin and would struggle to have a fringe. This is actually my hair looking fuller than normal. I would love a fringe, I have considered wigs/extension etc. I wear heavy foundation because my face is quite heavily blemished in parts. I agree with the eyeliner comments, eyeshadow looks much better. I would certainly consider getting my eyebrows re done, I currently use a brown eyeshadow to fill in my brows.
