Help with Dutch braiding dd6 hair.

My dd5 has her first competition for her cheer team next week. She has a shoulder length bob. For the comp her hair needs to be in Dutch braids to a low ponytail. I cannot get it right. I am utterly useless with hair styles, I cant even do neat french plaits let alone dutch ones. Can anyone offer any advice/recommend a tutorial that helped them learn. I'm so lost! Tia

it's a French braid, but the bits that are added in go underneath, rather than on top of the existing plait.

Are there no other mums that would do it for you? At my daughter's gymnastics for competitions other mums do various hairstyles for about £10.

Sometimes some of the older girls on the team will do it for the younger ones whilst they are getting ready. That's what my older daughter does in her cheer team.

Those are dutch plaits not french plaits

having the hair slightly damp is good too, you'll have less bother with
flyaways and get a sleeker tighter result.

@B0G0F well aware. I was saying that it is the same method as French plaits, but the hair that is added in goes underneath, rather than on top, which is what makes them Dutch.
