Fashion magazine

I’m asking on here because I’m clueless about fashion. My dd is 9 and really into clothes and jewellery, not wearing it so much as designing stuff. I’d like to get her a fashion mag to go in her stocking, but have no clue which would be suitable. I don't want to accidentally buy one which ends up having inappropriate articles about best sex positions!
Can anyone who actually reads these magazines tell me which would be a good one? Thanks

If she's more into designing you're better off getting one of those fashion illustration workbooks. They have templates of bodies which you can draw clothes on over and over again in different poses. Most magazines these days are about selling clothes rather than examining them, the few that do, are probably not that accessible to a nine year old as they're they're quite theoretical.

Also, if she hasn't found it already, Zoe Hong's YouTube channel is an entire education in fashion design, illustration, and history, especially for those who want to go into it as a career. Nothing inappropriate for a 9yo iirc (but probably supervise a few yourself to make sure) and should still be accessible to a younger audience.

@botemp thanks very much, very helpful. I will have a look at the youtube channel and see about a workbook instead.

Sorry, I used the word workbook when usually the term sketchbook is used, there's several but this one looks good for a 9yo as it also includes templates of clothes and shoes.

Vogue. (The UK one.) Nothing else really matters in print. And she’d be so thrilled!

Also it really does focus on fashion and style - very limited amount of extraneous material. (Apart from the adverts at the back.) You could obviously look through it first but there’s unlikely to be anything wildly unsuitable. Try and get hold of the December issue (on shelves now) if you can - the January issue is always thin and underwhelming.

I started reading it in my very early teens - it really helps to accustom your eyes to extremes of cut and fabric and the balance of proportions.

@EdmontinaDancesWithOphelia thank you. I might get that as well - she actually loves adverts, so might like that about it anyway!
