Recommendations for starter make up from primark?

My eleven year old has asked for make up for Christmas. I’m completely clueless as I barely ever wear any.
She won’t be leaving the house with it for a good while yet, so it’s more for experimenting.

It’s not her main present, more of a stocking filler, so I was thinking of looking at primark.

What sort of products would you recommend?

And are there any particular youtubers you’d recommend for someone that age?

Following as my 10 year old has also asked.

Primark makeup is ok but Essence in Wilko is better imo and Revolution in Superdrug does some palettes.

I often buy cheap stuff for myself to compliment the expensive stuff. I’m a fan of their lip gloss, pencils and lipstick but for eyes, cheeks and face I use collection 2000.

TKMax for colour palettes.

I wouldn’t bother with primark, would echo recommendation for Revolution in Superdrug

Revolution is great

You can usually find make-up gift sets with pretty much everything in them at Christmas. Boots usually do them

This one looks good for the money

I don't know how beauty bay works though and I'd add an eyeliner and mascara

Thank you!

This is very helpful. What else should I get - wipes? Moisturiser?

I have sensory issues and just can’t tolerate much on my face so I genuinely don’t know where to begin.

Also what about brushes and those little shaped sponge things?

Don't get wipes.
I never got on with the sponges but they look nice.
Make-up cleanser would be an idea, and some washable pads to go with it if it's a lotion.

I'd just get a set with everything in. I'd go for a budget one. One with a few eyeshadows, blushers etc. then add mascara - tubing as it will wash off, eyebrow pencil and eyeliner.

I got one as a young teenager and loved playing with it.

Some light moisturiser with SPF. Something from Boots or Superdrug own brand should be fine. Don't go for anything with harsh ingredients like salicylic acid, tea tree etc

There's some lovely Revolution gift sets in B&M
