Lumpy fillers

I had Voluma fillers in my cheeks and a small amount in my nasolabial lines a week ago.

One side of my face is quite lumpy on the cheek and by the mouth. The cheek you can barely see but the mouth is more obvious.

I’ve contacted the doctor who did it (a very reputable doc in London) and he says it will settle in 2 weeks.

However, it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Did anyone else take this long for theirs to settle? Surely I should be seeing a gradual improvement by now?

Were you advised to massage it at all? I know eg lip fillers can be a bit lumpy but can be massaged out.

I wasn’t told to massage it, just to wait 2 weeks for it to settle. I haven’t touched the cheek but have gently massaged the nasolabial fold. Neither seem to be improving. The nasolabial fold might even be a bit worse so not sure if the massage was a good idea

Is it worth asking the practitioner if you can massage then? Only because as I say, with lips, I believe lumps can be massaged out and massage is recommended. I don’t know about with other areas though, it might not be recommended!

My filler was a bit lumpy the last time on one side but it disappeared within about 2 weeks . First time it had happened to me .
