I was thinking about this yesterday, I'd just put on my size 14-16 pyjamas and the top was a generous 16 but the trousers must have been nearer a 14.
I'd rather have a 16-18,but the shop doesn't do it and the 18-20 drowns me.

Why do shops even do this, there's 2 inches between the sizes so surely the item cannot fit both.

They do it because it's cheaper to make a smaller range of sizes. More and more are doing e.g. small/medium/large. And I can be any one of those in different shops.

I have the same problem.
Tesco have a 16-18 in pyjamas. That's the right size for me as a 14-16 is too small on top and an 18-20 is too big on the bottom.

I hate them. They really piss me off. I’m a size 16. A 14/16 will usually be too small on top. A 16/18 will be too big everywhere! Their loss, as they must lose sales!

I always end up between sizes too. 10/12 is too small and 14/16 too big.

I've noticed this too recently while looking for new pyjamas. Even Marks are doing it!
