Is it worth getting your 'colours done'? (not hair but what suits your skin tone)

I've just been to a jewellery party and was collared (literally) to model lots of pieces that I wouldn't normally try - some because of size/boldness but mostly the colour. Everyone seemed to agree that gold tones looked great on me and yet I'm as pale as a ghost and never wear gold.

So should I book a 'colours' evening as a pre-sch fundraising opportunity?!

I did find it useful -- actually not so much for the colours that suited me (I found that the stuff I liked best tended to be in colours that were good for me) but for finsing out what I should really, really never wear (like creams and browns and yellows, in my case). I think that's saved me a good few unwise purchases since.

I had mine done and it really has changed the way I shop.
I don't bother looking at stuff that I now know does nothing for me.
Dh jokes that my colour swatch thingy I carry in my bag has every colour under the sun in it but I now know I look better in bright colours that are not muted .
It was expensive and I would have loved to have gone to a colour party.

It's not mind blowing but fun and definitely useful.

Well as you're both in favour, perhaps I will book a colour party for the New Year.

I would - it's amazing how different colours change your face and colouring etc. Loads of people have no idea and it's interesing finding out what colours suit you.
