Horrible cystic spot on cheek - help!

Asking for help from S&B on how to deal. Nothing visible (thankfully) but I can feel a horrible monster of a lump under the skin and it's very tender.

Am washing face as normal and using salicylic acid, but it's stubbornly sitting there - not getting any bigger or smaller. I have some Cos Rx spot patches - do I use that? Or do I go for the nuclear option and try and draw out using mag sulph? Am very worried that if I go the drawing out route that it will leave a huge crater scar...

Try retinol on it. I did this recently after researching online, and it helped.

Heat first to encourage drainage - I usually use hot water bottle that's cooled a little (with a cover, don't want to burn your face just warm it!) for about 10/15 min. Then use a cold compress, I usually do a packed lunch ice thing wrapped in a tea towel for 10/15 again for the inflammation. Make sure you don't burn/freeze your skin.

The problem with deep cystic acne is it's sooo hard to get rid of and unfortunately the hot/cold method and patience is the only thing that works for me. Don't pick at all and you should be able to avoid a scar.

Good luck 🤞🏼 I know how tricky the buggers are!

Thank you - currently poulticing at the moment! So annoying and obviously to my fingertips it feels like Everest is sprouting out of my cheek even though I can't see anything...

I find using benzoyl peroxide once a day works to reduce the inflammation. You can buy it from the chemist.

Thank you. I had some anecide already and dabbed a bit on last night after doing an ice treatment. The disfiguring second head lump has shrunk slightly so I am hoping it might be on it's way down!
