Hello, I'm a lurker rather than a poster usually but turning to you lovely style and beauty people for inspiration.

I am a guest at a wedding next week and have this dress to wear. www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/becky-midi-wrap-dress-highland-green-exotic-floral/sty-d0041-bgr?cat=C1_S2

But I'm struggling to know what to put on top. Blazer? Cardigan? I plan to wear it with heeled boots either long or ankle ones.

Any suggestions?

Lovely colour

Do you need to put anything over it ? I'd ceremony and reception all indoor with minimal walking/ time outside ?

Thank youSmile. It looks nice on, not too flouncy! I wondered if it was a bit bare by itself plus I feel the cold. It's loose enough I could maybe wear so.ething underneath though.

The sleeves look too full for a cardigan to work.. velvet blazer?

IloveCheese11 · 30/10/2021 10:22

Sorry, I've only just seen this. Yes I thought that about a cardigan too. I like the idea of a velvet blazer. I was worried about a blazer looking too worky but velvet would soften that.

Boden do a lovely cashmere cardigan in emerald green (other brands available too Smile) , velvet blazer sounds a good idea

I wouldn’t put anything over it. Suffer the cold for style 😃

I agree I probably wouldn't wear anything over it but I never feel the cold. Definitely a velvet blazer rather than a cardi if you do.

Lovely dress. I'd be tempted to just wear a leather jacket over it and take it off for the ceremony and reception.

Silk thermals are expensive so I put off trying them for years but if your budget will accommodate they're excellent under fitted/light/dressy clothes. They're brilliant under anything wafty, like skirts or wide leg trousers, you can push the cuff up so they can't be seen. I got mine from Patra.
