Lash line enhancement tattoo recovery

I'm thinking of having this. Just a very fine line in a dark brown to make my lashes look thicker and give some definition to my eyes however I am nervous about pain, recovery and any possible ill effects. I would love some feedback from people who have had this done.

Also any recommendations for practitioners in central or South London or the Brighton area. I've been to see one person locally who seems lovely but I don't know anyone who has used her in the past.

Is it really worth the risks? It's easy to achieve the same look with make up.

The eye is such a delicate area, there are some permanent complications linked to tattooing the eye line. Sad

I’ve had mine done, makes a huge difference. Friends have had theirs done since.
A good practitioner will use a lot of numbing cream so pain minimal. Slightly uncomfortable but well worth it. Advise is not to get your eyes wet or wear make up for 2 weeks after but mine were healed after a week. Top up is a few weeks afterwards with the same process

The only place I’d go is Tracie Giles and I don’t think it hurts

Did OP ask that?

No that's just my point of view. Op did say she was nervous about any ill effects, I would advise going into a permanent tattoo after weighing up the gains versus any complications.

Tattoo removal in the eye area is extremely high risk and most practitioners will not attempt it. Any ink migration is permanent.
Therefore it's not a decision to take little lightly.

Thank you everybody. @SmileyClare has highlighted all the worries I have which is why I asked for people who had personal experience of this procedure for their experiences. I .don't need any help in imagining the worst that could happen. I wanted facts about what had actually happened.

It's all very well people saying I could create this effect on my own. If I was that neat and handy i I would already be doing that. My natural shakiness means it isn't an option for me.

I had mine done by a woman who runs a training school teaching all sorts of PMU, (and rectifying mistakes made by less experienced practitioners) wasn't painful and didn't really notice any after effects at all. Lots of my friends have also had it done and even the squeamish ones said it was a lot less icky snd painful than they thought it would be. She's a bit far from you in north Essex but if you can get there I'd highly recommend her.

I’ve had mine done - it was a bit uncomfortable but not really painful and recovery was fine - little itchy but again not painful. I got it done by El at Perfect Definition, she’s London based.
