A tool for a proper blow dry

I'm looking for a tool to help me achieve a proper blow dry that will hold. I've got shoulder length fine hair, and as soon as I step outside it fluffs & frizzes - unless I've had a proper blow dry a which happens in a blue moon.

I've got a babyliss big hair - which is good, but takes forever & really tugs my hair.

I'm willing to spend good money for the right tool! Is a dyson air wrap worth it? I'm tired of just shoving my hair back in a clip, I'd like to look nice more than twice a year.

I have the Remington version of the Revlon. I have lots and lots of hair, in a lob and it’s brightly coloured. The Dreamcoat helps seal in my colour - better than olaplex in that regard. The styler gives me the perfect lift and shape.

Frizz ease is silicone based (Dreamcoat isn’t) so I wouldn’t touch that. And the L’Oréal thing is Nestle so wouldn’t touch that either.

For shorter hair the Revlon one is the one linked to from Amazon. There are two versions I think - ne for longer hair which I think is the Boots linked one and one for shorter hair.

The Revlon one linked to on amazon seems to be the original one, not the shorter one. I did find that one on there, but it's £20 more expensive as the original is on offer.

I have the BBH but it is the big one and too big for my chin length hair. Never got the hang of it anyway, my hair is fine and it makes it fluffy! I'm probably not using it right.

I'm getting better at blow drying now my hair is short, but it still takes me a while and I can't get the top of the back right. Following this thread.

Oops - sorry for misinformation! Thanks @RagzReturnsRebooted. I stand corrected.

I got mine last year from Amazon in a Black Friday deal so it may be worth hanging on for that if anyone wants one.

How long do posters find the styling lasts?

I've got ageing hair as per another thread and I can't get the volume to last in my hair. I was thinking about backcombing at the roots but then it gets frizzy.

I was taught that you don't let the wet hair go until it's completely dry. That's apparently how hairdressers do blow drys and that's why they're so good.

Maybe it's a technique issue, not a new tool issue?

The short hair Revlon one is more expensive

Big hair is always good on me and I have the smaller barrel one

2-3 days for me. I usually run over it on medium heat if it feels a bit flat on in-between days.
