Jeans advice

I've always struggled with buying jeans as a short arse but now I have a new problem.

I'm 5'2 and a size 16/18 on top and 14/16 on bottom. My problem is I hold a lot of weight on my stomach due to menopause, 3 sections and 2 other lots of abdominal surgery.
However, immediately under my stomach where it's pulled in from the c sections is not as big so when I buy jeans I end up with them fitting around my belly but have a baggy fanny area 🤣.

I've tried a fair few pairs now and nothing seems to make any difference and they just look odd. If I size down I get camel toe and belly bulging over the top of jeans.

I probably notice it way more than anyone else would cos now I've seen it I look for it but help, I just want a nice fitting pair of jeans that I can dress up or down.

Might loose jeans tat sit on the natural waistlinework for you?

soething like this

KirstenBlest · 21/10/2021 17:47

something like this?

Frazzledd · 21/10/2021 17:49

Jeggings?

KirstenBlest · 21/10/2021 17:51

or these - they look great but the site not so much

TheOriginalNutty · 21/10/2021 17:57

I have tried a couple of pairs like that @KirstenBlest but no joy. They weren't as bad as other styles though so maybe I just need to try more

Always seem to end up with cameltoe with jeggings @Frazzledd

Might maternity ones be better - the stretchy bit might be more comfortable over scars/

TheOriginalNutty · 21/10/2021 18:03

The scars don't hurt tbh bit I could give them a try Smile

I was thinking more jeggings with a yoga pant waist really

or something like these but in jeggings

You could get someone vwho alters clothing to take in jeggings

KirstenBlest · 21/10/2021 18:09

these look promising

Frazzledd · 21/10/2021 18:17

I was going to suggest M&S for the Jeggings, they're the best 'no camel toe' ones I've bought, really comfortable after c-section (slightly higher waist, good support around the middle)

TheOriginalNutty · 21/10/2021 18:24

Ah I've not tried M&S jeggings or leggings so will give those a go

Couldn't get the Lucy and yak link to work but have had a quick look on their site and seen a few bits I like lol

Try robell denim. Pull on and very comfy.

buckleten · 21/10/2021 18:30

M&S high waisted stretchy jeans are absolutely fantastic!

EezyOozy · 21/10/2021 18:32

I have a post c section tum and swear by per una slim and straight leg jeans, there are more generously cut in the tummy area but normal everywhere else

KirstenBlest · 21/10/2021 18:35

They were the Dana jeans.

I usually recommend M&S for jeans because they have lots of different styles and a good range of prices.

Elasticated waists are back in and some jeans are more like joggers now

TheOriginalNutty · 21/10/2021 18:40

I like the Dana ones @KirstenBlest 😊

I have got a pair from M&S which are ok but I don't love them

You could try men's jeans. You'll probably want to size up as the cut is different. The bonus is deep pockets.

GiltEdges · 21/10/2021 19:41

Spanx Jeanish jeggings are pricey but worth it IMO

lindyloo57 · 21/10/2021 20:38

I was going to say back elastic waist style could work, i think next have some.
