What can get rid of my wrinkled décolletage??

Dontmindasking · 21/10/2021 12:25

I am a side sleeping so have 3 lines that I can’t shift. I can’t not sleep on my side… what can I use to soften these?! My face is not wrinkly so it looks odd too! I have tried the m&s prai cream but it brings me out in spots….

I've heard good stuff about the beauty pie neck spray

Taoneusa · 21/10/2021 14:40

Chest stick on silicone pads, I’ve seen them on Amazon.

Dontmindasking · 21/10/2021 18:31

Thanks I will have a look at those.

Can anyone recommend anything they have used?

Nothing works. The silicone stick on pads are about the best if you are not too creasy, have tried them plus a weird bra thing with a padded bit between boobs (so uncomfortable to sleep in), various creams, serums, if you find a miracle cure please post it here!

A top with a higher neck is good, lots about. Either that or don't wear your glasses when you look in the mirror.Wink

I use tretinoin. Took some time to build up tolerance as this is quite a sensitive for me but it's very effective.

DumbestBlonde · 21/10/2021 20:26

Roll up a silk or satin headscarf and put between your boobs for the night. It doesn't need to be attached to anything (if your boobs are anything other than AA). I actually made a little silk cushion out of an eyemask that I realised was the wrong colour (very pale pink).
Also of course moisturising - preferably with the same skincare as your face - in general treating it the same way as your face, with gentle exfoliation, acids etc.

grownup2 · 21/10/2021 21:28

Reusable stick on silicone things are surprisingly effective for face or chest lines if worn overnight. It's a fairly temporary effect, as they
A) stop skin being pushed into creases overnight
B) presumably trap moisture and so plump up skin
The retinol or retinoid suggestion is probably the best for longer term effects - have just started prescription strength on my face, neck and cleavage. And am combining this with careful cleansing, acids and moisturising (must remember spf consistently too) as recommended by #DumbestBlonde and Nadine Baggott on YouTube. Shame it will do nothing for mg jowls though...

Rocaille · 21/10/2021 21:31

The weird pillow bra thing works if used every night, ideally with a nice thick cream. Also spf on the area whenever you're out & about. Acids & Tret to repair the damage already done.

Following with interest. I’m 36 but my chest is terrible. I was going to ask my face woman about profhilo. But then I’d have to stay on top of it…

Geamhradh · 21/10/2021 21:41

Nadine Baggott did a video recently about necks and chests.
Skincare for your face needs to be taken down your neck and onto your chest area. All of it. The vit C, sunscreen, retinol, serums, moisturizer etc. And properly cleansed

I’m not great as I still get spots in my Kate 30’s Angry and my skin is sensitive so a lot of things I can’t use… always take my make up off d always moisturise, I don’t sun bath and do wear sunscreen… I don’t know where to start with retinol… I use that liquid gold from recommended on here, don’t notice any change though!

I couldn't figure out what "Kate 30's" were - I thought it was something special connected with the Duchess..... Then I realised it was a typo; I do them all the time here on MN (oh for an edit fuction).

You could do worse than just taking it riiiight back to basics - a very simple cleanser and toner, and a good moisturiser day and night, plus an eye cream. I do believe it is possible to traumatise the skin by using so many products, let alone all the applying and removing..... It probably interferes with the natural skin barrier, which I believe is what helps retain moisture. Treat your blemishes individually rather using a harsh or medicated treatment, and don't go overboard on the acids or masks. I do think retinol needs to be handled with care so don't use it for all the reasons I've stated. You can really wreck your skin by doing to much to it.
And nutrition plays a huge role too.

Genetics of course play a part as well of course and as far as I know, my mother is quite proud of her lack of lines at age 79. Maybe she will have given me one nice thing and all my skincare is irrelevant Smile

Not fully helpful to get rid of them put its caused by our posture/ reading our phones too much Wink

I sort of agree with this, although maybe not affecting the decolletage as much as the neck, throat and jawline. I have always had a weak jawline, even when weighing 7st - and computer use has drawn things down more than I would like. Looking at a lower face lift or plasma pen treatment, because nothing less will give me the clear definition I never had in the first place!
AfterSchoolWorry · 21/10/2021 22:29

Fraxel and high neck t shirts in summer. Keep the sun off it.

itsnotmeitsu · 22/10/2021 00:19

I have a silk pillowcase - it's definately made a difference to the overnight sleep wrinkles that used to appear in the morning. So I assume having a silk bottom sheet would also help (as in, on your mattress, not your actual bottom Grin. I started using Bio Oil on my face and decolletage as a moisturiser a couple of years ago (although that's not its purpose), and no-one will convince me it's not made a positive difference to my skin.

SirVixofVixHall · 22/10/2021 07:06

I have these as a lifelong side sleeper (in my fifties), with a substantial bosom..
I am curious about the pillow things ?
Anyway have tried the Beauty Pie spray and although the difference isn’t dramatic , there is a slight difference. It also smells nice, I don’t normally like scented stuff and have sensitive skin but I like this. Also as it is a spray it is simple to use, not sticky. Two squirts is enough so it is lasting well. Worth a try I think.

MrsCardone · 22/10/2021 07:08

A combination of:

  • Vitamin C
  • Squalane
  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • Centella Asiatica.

Liquid Gold is essentially an acid toner, so helps with resurfacing your skin. It's a strongish % of acids so if you're not hydrating well, it will dry out skin leading to crepiness and lines. If you want to start a retinol- again look at Nadine. You need to start very gradually and it's a long game thing. Always spf 50 .

I go for a healthy diet, a bit of moisturiser and acceptance.

Rina66 · 22/10/2021 07:43

I use bio oil at night on my chest, neck, shoulders and upper arrms, it definitely makes a difference.

milkyaqua · 22/10/2021 07:47

Sunscreen, sun hat, moisturize, and sleep hugging a small soft pillow or stuffed toy.
