Hair straightener/styler that makes hair sleek and shiny?

Is there such a thing? I always assumed heated tools would make hair more frizzy/damaged, so have never used them, but maybe I'm missing a trick?
I've had a quick look online but am baffled by the choice (ceramic, ionic, cheap or ££££).
My hair is shoulder length, straight-ish (with a few kinks) and fine (thin?) and coarse/frizzy.
Can anyone advise? I don't want to spend money on a useless gadget, but would like to give something a try.

Heat styling does significantly damage your hair. My hair has been heat styling free twice in twenty years. Both times I grew it far longer than I was ever able to before.

That being said, ghds are great for styling my hair. I use just the classic Straighteners to create curls with it. I try not to do it all the time as it's damaging and time consuming but ok occasionally.

I've recently got a Dyson airwrap which is meant to be much kinder to hair. I'm still on the trial period but will probably keep it. For my long hair it is more of a shape and texture creater than a curler or straightener. It must look nice though because two people noticed I have changed my hair.

I'd say if you were new to styling and like a straight but bouncy look the Revlon blow-dry brush is well rated. I had a knock off version which did a blow dry very nicely in good time. Unfortunately, being a knock off, it burnt out, but I imagine that the real thing would have a guarantee of some sorts.

I’ve got the Revlon blow dry brush and it makes my hair look very sleek and shiny. I’ve got very thin, fine and brittle hair and am worried about damage but I keep it on the lowest setting and there’s much less hair in the brush then there was in my normal brush that I used with my normal hairdryer. I’d love an airwrap but it’s way out of my budget.

Broadly I think tongs and Straighteners produce the sleek shiny look, brushes and air dryers produce the shaping.

I haven't found anything that does both.

I wouldn't get the air wrap just for straightening. Results are similar to the Revlon.
For me the airwrap is worth it (just)because of the curl/texture function.

I like the air wrap. It’s not £400 good, but if is a lot better than the babyliss big hair that I had before.

BelleOfTheProvince. The Revlon makes my hair look pretty sleek and shiny. It seems to do that more than add body or shape to my thin hair for some reason.

I have thick shoulder length hair that’s prone to a bit of frizz. For sleek shiny hair I love the Revlon one step! I have an air wrap too, which I love for easy curls.
