I LIKE THEM

oops sorry didnt mean to shout

i have seen lots of friends in them and they look great over a black-trap girls wardrobe of all things black and grey.

got a pic of the coat?
i was eyeing one up today too, think it was warehouse (yes i know that is for young trendy things but hey)

Yum

Oh, you mean cream coats not cream cakes.

My sister has a cream wool jacket.

It's beautiful.

She doesn't have children.

The two things may be related

merrylissiemas · 09/12/2007 00:49

ilove them, but...

They are cream.
Children have dirty hands
they are cream
children have dirty faces
they are cream
children play trains all over everything you own/love
they will cost a bomb in drycleaning
as soon as you are in a rush and put on your coat a child will launch at you with a face/hands smothered in chocolate

gigglewitchyouamerrychristmas · 09/12/2007 00:54

hope your object of desire is 1)washable, or 2)cheap. both would be advantageous.

oh, and i love cream cakes too

ggirlsbells · 09/12/2007 00:55

nice if you are slim and childless

BoysAreLikeReindeer · 09/12/2007 00:58

Lol gigglewitch

The consensus is that cream coats are a no-no unless you live in a parallel universe where children's hands are always clean, no baby ever burps on your shoulder and no dogs ever jump up to greet you.

merrylissiemas · 09/12/2007 01:02

yep, sods law is a powerful force!

nappyaddict · 09/12/2007 01:14

it is cheap (£30) - its from primark - i know i should be boycotting it but if we were to boycott all the places that use cheap labour we wouldn't have many places left to shop. apparently matalan, asda, tesco, select, next, debenhams, bhs, dorothy perkins, miss selfridge and topshop are all at it too.

agree with the cream coat no kids brigade --but if washable against drycleanable go for it why should mums not be stylish too!!

gigglewitchyouamerrychristmas · 09/12/2007 11:09

hey nappies that sounds suitably cheap to risk it IMO

nappyaddict · 09/12/2007 11:32

i'll just have to make sure i wipe ds hands a lot
