i love them but am curly so only from afar. don't see why not so long as won't overwhelm you. what face shape?

Tanktop · 08/12/2007 14:40

I am 37 and currently supporting a heavy blunt fringe at the mo. So that will be a no from me. Think it really depends on your face shape and the style of the rest of your hair. Mines is really long at the mo so making a feature of the fringe kind of trends it up abit. Well thats my excuse anyway. Hate to say that I actually have it in plaits 2day so that probably is a tad muttonish.

god I hope not!

I had one cut in earlier this year and have had loads of compliments. One huge benefit is that they cover frown lines

merryberry · 08/12/2007 14:54

can be so lovely

PatsyCline · 08/12/2007 14:56

I think that they can look really flattering. I've seen a couple of really stylish 'older' women sporting them and the word mutton didn;t enter my head. Go for it.

oval/long face, long straight hair. have had fringes in the past and they suit me but then i seem to spend the next year and a half growing them out. want a less 'accidental' looking cut, want to look more current, but everyone i see that makes me think "ooh heavy fringes look great" is a teenager.

i think i will end up doing it as i can't think of anything else i can do to sharpen up long hair.
