Skincare for aging skin

Reaching 45 I need an overhaul to my skincare, I am looking old.
Currently using a mix of Superdrug naturally radiant range (I do not look radiant!) and aldi caviar creams.

Where do I start?

@doadeer

I think eye creams are just tiny expensive pots of moisturiser to be honest.
They are, effectively. The experts all agree on that. They are the skincare products with the biggest mark up because of the tiny pots. The Filorga one may be good- as its main ingredient is good old cheap as chips glycerine which, again, all the beauty experts love to see in a moisturizer.

But what's the ingredient that's reducing the wrinkles?

If it's a Retinol product you could just buy a bigger amount for cheaper and use a cheap moisturiser as a barrier cream if you're sensitive around that area.

I know lots of opinions on eye creams but I think Cassandra Bankson approaches from an ingredients perspective

No idea what it is - unicorn piss? Fairy dust? Who knows? All I know is that it’s made a significant difference to my eyes. I don’t work for anyone, let alone Filorga, so it makes no difference to me whether anyone wants to take my recommendation or not.

Exactly. Nadine B says the same. She really explains in detail what each ingredient is and what it does.

I'm 51. The biggest difference ever to my skin has been using Dermatica (so retinol) every night. Holy hell, my skin genuinely looks radiant and I really do glow. (all thanks to MN's S&B board)

Wagsandclaws · 08/10/2021 20:05

@HundredMilesAnHour how long have you been using Dermatica? I am just starting my second month and I'm on 0.25 retinol but go up to 0.5 next month?

I'm 50 in January so hoping for good things in terms of skin being all glowy from it.

9 months now but the difference really kicked in around 3 months. I just love it!

@HundredMilesAnHour thank you, just in time for 50 then!

Thanks all.
Neals yard rose oil, filogra eye cream and body shop camomile cleanser and Vitamin c serum purchased.
If I don't wake up 10 years younger I'll be back for more recommendations.

Come back anyway and let us know how you get on. I think ten years might be a tad optimistic though! 😉

StriVectin

I found it late in life and consider it an absolute essential. They always have offers on the SD cream and you get a lot of product.
