Lip filler dissolving so soon?

Hi guys, I just wanted to see if anyone has had any similar experiences? I had my lips done nearly 3 weeks ago, and I feel they have pretty much dissolved already and csnt see much of a difference. I was going to get 0.5ml but went for 1ml in the end, I'm not too sure which filler was used but this is the first time I have had them done. They looked nice and plump straight after and after the swelling went down, but it seems they have just go a back to normal, the only difference I can see is slightly on the top lip. Has anyone experienced this before, is this normal? And is it worth going to get it topped up and can this be done so soon?

I have attached photos of before filler and today (3 weeks later)

Hello I didn’t want to leave your post unanswered.

I’ve had lip filler in the past and I remember them telling me that the initial look is pretty much all swelling and 1ml is very subtle. Having said that I still saw a noticeable to me at least difference after the first procedure.

I had another 1ml about six weeks later (where I go the minimum wait time between appointments is 3 weeks) and that really made the difference. My lips were noticeably bigger and the results lasted about a year. I still think there’s a tiny bit of filler in there now, about 14 months later and I can’t wait to get them done again! Currently pregnant so having to go without.

I can see the difference between a and b
The pic of straight after looks artificial but the pic on the right looks natural.

I get lip filler regularly. You have to really build it up to get your desired look. 1ml really isn’t that much.

I'm an injector and it's perfectly normal for them to be 1/3rd of the size they were straight after the procedure.

This is why I almost never inject 0.5ml (pointless in all but the most minuscule of lips) and why the photos you see on SM are purely swelling and bear no resemblance to your actual result.

And depending on how invasive/brutal your injector is will dictate the initial swelling in most cases. For example'Russian lips' is a gimmick and a horrible technique and the lips look so big straight after due to the injector digging around with a needle. You are still getting the same 1ml of product.

I personally use a technique that uses the least injection points and inject in nice threads so most of your result is visible straight away and swelling is kept to a minimum

Tha kyou so much all. So would you recommend maybe I wait a few more weeks or so and go back for another 1ml top up? Or would it be worth going to someone else or the same person?

You have really lovely lips without the filler! They definitely look as though they’ve dissolved quite a lot but I don’t think it’s a bad thing.
