Tell me where you shop

Everything in mine and my kids wardrobe is from primark, and I mean EVERYTHING!

I love their stuff but am now finding it impossible to get everyone's clothes washed and dry now that the weather has changed as I only have space for a tiny over the bath airer and 95% of primark stuff can't go in the tumble dryer.

So where do you shop for your clothes as well as your kids that won't cost me an absolute fortune, but that can be tumble dried!
HELP!

Why can't it go in the dryer? All our Primark clothes go in the dryer and are pretty much indestructible.

Stores often do this to protect themselves rather than because things won't tumble dry. If it looks like something that should tumble dry, just try it.

I always found the children's clothes at Asda and Tesco great quality and value

I have a bit of a history with putting things in the drier and it not ending well 😂 so now I only put in what actually says it can, then if it goes wrong it's not my fault 🤣

I don't know why I never think of looking in the supermarkets! Thanks!

I find primark a bit hit and miss, it’s fine for younger kids clothes as they are going to grow out of it during the clothings life span. I find their adult clothing doesn’t last long and doesn’t wash that well either (I use a tumble dryer).

I used to buy a lot of the kids clothes from Next but the quality isn’t as good as it used to be and now they are teenagers o need clothes that will last, I find their jeans are pretty good but t-shirts and joggers don’t seem to last. TU (Sainsbury’s) is probably my go to for basics and they often have good sales on, same with new look for adult/teen clothing. Asda’s also good but sometimes a bit more pricy.

I have slowly been sorting out my clothes, reducing the amount I have and just buying a few quality items that I really love and will wear to death, it’s cost me a bit initially but will save me in the long run.

Tu at sainsbury's, I've never had a problem with it and most if not all of the kids stuff can be tumbled including coats.

Mommabear20 · 02/10/2021 11:27

@Lovemusic33 that's what I'm gonna aim to do, if I can get pieces that can be tumble dried, I won't need as many clothes for me or the kids and can probably spend a little more in each item if I know it'll last (DH wardrobe is his problem 😂).

I have just discovered Vinted and have bout a few quality items from there for primark prices 🙂, you can get kids clothes on there too, things from Boden, Next etc…sell for next to nothing, seems to be better prices than eBay as there is no bidding as such.
