Can I ask how you ladies carry out your intimate hair removal?

I dare not shave as it get so itchy!

I used to wax years ago, but the prices have gone crazy!

I'm thinking about trying hair removal cream. Does anyone else use this and how do you get on with it?

Any shaving tips to stop the itch Confused

Are there any other options I've missed?

I also got the Philips Lumea - I use clippers to take the hair down to the shortest length, then use the Lumea and it's brilliant. I don't go the full whack, because that's not what I choose, but it's super on bikini line and underarms and jaw...

Marinate in baby oil or similar for five minutes before shaving in normal way. No itch. No rash. No irritation.

I use this....

www.boots.com/wilkinson-sword-quattro-for-women-bikini-razor-10083605?cm_mmc=bmm-buk-google-ppc--PLAs_HeroCompare--Skincare-_-UK_Brand_Shopping_Skincare+SSC&gclid=CjwKCAjw49qKBhAoEiwAHQVTo6BzbAOElEkFkzSNULibn6_Sr9gzCtauwrUT0oEr9RVDeV7Z1R6_5BoCTOsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

It's a razor at one end and a little battery powered shaver at the other. I use the shaver without the guard on to take away any outlying hairs and then pop the guard on to trim the rest down. I do it in the shower every week or two. It takes about a minute and costs £11.

Lazer hair removal it was an absolute game changer. Had bikini and under arms done.
It was about £50 a session at the time but after a couple you really notice the difference.

I shave, every other day and don't find it's itchy at all.

How do you get the cream on without it going where it shouldn't go? Knowing my luck it would go into my vagina and cause no end of issues

For those of you using the cream, do you use it on your vulva or just bikini line? Can you get full Hollywood with it? And how quickly does it regrow?

Philips Lumea, wish I'd bought one sooner! Absolutely brilliant, worth every penny

Is it painful? What actually happens to the hair?

I also use lumea.
Shave first then it sort of blasts the hair roots, sometimes feel a little zap but pretty much pain free.
Every ten days at first, took about 4 goes to get bikini line hair free and now just use when the odd one grows.
They work best on dark hair/fair skin combo so perfect for me.

Lumea or laser will work if you have darker hair. No chance for me as a ginger. I shave the bikini line and cut the rest short with scissors but could easily use an electronic shaver. I don't like to be bald but neat and tidy.

Used to pay for a monthly wax but just buy veet wax strips now. Find them really good, much cheaper and I have a little wax every 2 or 3 weeks at home, takes no time at all!

I also have the braun IPL. Changed my life! So wish I bought it sooner.

I bought a wax pot from Amazon during the first lock down and learned how to do it myself via YouTube Grin

Kudos to those waxing themselves and as for the poster plucking - Holy shit you deserve a medal 😁

(Was I the only plucker?)

I only do the bikini line. So it's just a few hairs and it's easy to keep Smile (when I go toilet I check if there are any strays Blush) the rest I shave. Maybe every 2 weeks?

Laser removal a few years ago (proper laser, not IPL at a beauty salon)
It cost about £700 for all the sessions for bikini line and under arm, spread over about 2 years but that was about 2 years worth of waxes so it’s paid for itself now
And it was a LOT less painful than waxing

Best thing I’ve done

I’m tempted to go back at get my legs done at some point as well

@SW1amp if you think the price is reasonable, do it! I had the same waffle about laser, but I saw the results on a friends, and my goodness I do not regret even £1 of the money I spent. I did get a package at Skin Health Spa (they've since gone bankrupt and been bought by the Sk:n Clinic- haven't tried them yet) so it was AS expensive as it would have been. Still not cheap though, but totally worth it for me. Prices might be better outside of central London!

I plucked for years after seeing someone on big brother do it. I find it causes ingrown hairs far too much.

I use hair remover cream on the back and underneath at front, and on the bikini line then I trim the front. Lasts at least 3 weeks and takes about 5 mins to work.

I had the same issue with very itchy regrowth so could never consider shaving. Incidentally, I tried a hair removal cream and had the same problem - not sure why, but it’s extremely uncomfortable.

I did consider buying a lumea machine to do IPL but ended up getting an amazing deal on medical grade laser at a national chain of salons, which has changed my life. I got 10 sessions on bikini (any bikini) and underarm for about £225 and it’s the best money I’ve ever spent. I still like the idea of the lumea to do my legs but I wonder whether I’d be too lazy to do it myself so haven’t quite decided yet. If you do go down this route, you’ll probably get a good deal on Black Friday.

If anyone wants the details of the laser deal, I think I posted a referral link on the promo board which I will go and bump up - that would get us both £30 extra to spend on laser for our hairy selves. Otherwise I guess you can PM me. I don’t think I’m allowed to post it here.

I use a cream from the company WooWoo, it is safe to use all over your front and back areas and doesn't smell too bad either.

I tried this but it really didn't work. Maybe I need to give it another go.
