Please help- How to get rid of blood stains?

Just discovered an old stain on the back of a skirt… horrifying I know. The skirt is cotton and polyamide mix, red in color, but stain still visible.

Any idea what I should try? So far cold water with detergent hasn’t made a dent.

Try vanish? If it’s been washed in warm/hot water since the stain it might have set though.

(Also, not horrifying. Easily done and easily missed.)

Rub a bar of soap or washing up liquid into the stain and wash with bio powder. Hang outside as uv helps fade stains

Run some lukewarm water in a bowl and add some table salt. Rub a little table salt in the stain itself with a little water too. Leave to soak and wash at40 degrees.

Soak in vanish, wash in bio, dry outside so the sun can get to it. If that doesn't fix it then nothing will

Soak in cool water, wring it to damp, then put a generous amount of concentrated washing up liquid on it, let it sit for a good while (without letting it dry). Then use a brush to scrub from the inside (as you might drag or pill the fibres and create a worn patch). If you feel successful give it a rinse (as pp say don't use warm or hot water it sets the protein). After this you'll be able to guage if it's a) worked b) needs repeating c) give up. After treatment, rinsing, proper wash then dry it inside-out in the sun to naturally bleach the final traces. Good luck.

If it's your blood, spit on it and rub it in. Has worked for me many times. Must be something to do with the enzymes in your spit but I'm no scientist.

Position the stain so it sits in shallow cold water, eg with a tray/dish under it. Tip on plenty of salt so stain is completely covered, leave overnight, you may need to repeat if stain doesn't lift completely first time.
If trying washing up liquid etc, be cautious as the fabric dye could also be lifted, so test first.

Hydrogen Peroxide. Dentist used it when I got blood on my shirt.
