GHD Glide - is it any good?

I've got annoying hair that's not one thing or another. A bit wavy, a bit frizzy, a lot fluffy. It's currently bob length and I'm letting it air dry then just using straighteners to smooth the very front bits.

I'm tempted by the GHD Glide brush but they're expensive and I'm wondering if they're worth it. Does anyone have one and do you recommend it?

I’ve one and don’t use loads though I’m not sure why! It’s good for second day hair to smooth out kinks etc if you don’t wash. It doesn’t give as sleek a look at straighteners as obviously they clamp together whereas this just smoothed.

I have one and love it. My hair is fluffy rather than frizzy and I regularly use the glide after either blow drying or air drying, and it tames my hair into shape.
It's nowhere near as good as straighteners if you want really sleek straight hair, but it does really smooth it down. Its also a lot quicker than straighteners. I got mine when my daughter was a baby as I knew I wouldn't have time to straighten every day but still wanted to be presentable!

I have wavy, frizzy hair and I love mine. Make sure hair is bone dry and absolutely no knots or it rips your hair out. Takes me 5 mins to have lovely hair rather than faffing with blow drying and straightening.

Use a good heat defence spray,

Thanks everyone. That all sounds really positive. I'm not after poker straight hair. I just want it to be smoother and less fluffy and frizzy.
Do you think it'll work on bob length hair or does hair need to be longer?

I have one, and I like it. But I wouldn’t say it is any quicker or easier than standard straighteners. There is a bit of a nack you have to get into with it. My hair looks nice and smooth and straight after using, but not poker pin straight like with a traditional straightener, I find the most difficult bit of getting the ends really smoothed. It might also be a me problem, but I found them much more difficult to use when my hair was shorter (collar bone length) rather than longer, mid-back. I am happy with them and won’t replace them until they are on the way out, but I will purchase a traditional straightener next time.
