I had a baby by csection 4 weeks ago. I have dropped all the baby weight already due to breastfeeding. I am overweight anyway and hopefully will lose more but currently I am a size 18-20. Carry all my weight round my tummy, very apple shaped. Since having the baby, I feel like my shape has changed. Always had a big tummy but my fat seems to have spread sideways and I have a noticeable spare tyre now.

I have absolutely no idea what to wear to compliment my body now. Have ordered loads of tops that are peplum style but they sit right where my tummy goes out and make me look even more massive. I wore all my pre baby tops while pregnant so they're all stretched to shit.

Can anyone help me with what to wear? I feel absolutely miserable cause I have nothing even remotely flattering right now.

I think you need to give yourself a bit longer. After my c section my body didn’t really stabilise until the 8-12 week mark. Like you I dropped most of the baby weight quite quickly but my shape changed quite a lot in those first three months.

I did find having a thin fitted vest under whatever top was great not just for breastfeeding but also just for feeling supported around my stomach and scar.

I've no idea of dressing your body shape or size, or of upto the minute fashion trends, so perhaps my advice isn't the best. I understand why the PP says to leave it a while longer, but the situation is you have no clothes now except stretched ones and it's making you feel bad. So right now I'd look for a temporary wardrobe to get you through autumn. I'd go with a long flowing dress that doesn't cling to your stomach area, the sort of thing that's tightest under the boobs then flares out. Maybe 4 of those. A long chunky cardigan on top for warmth, I think if you only fasten the button under your boobs it will flair out skimming over everything else. I'm hourglass and do this with cardigans that are too tight over my hips, they look fine. 2 of those because you've a baby so might need to wash it quite often. Then leggings for comfort and warmth instead of tights, in a colour to suit the dress, so 4 of those. And finished with boots to keep the weather out, either long ones or if you legs are too chunky for these then short ankle length ones. For a coat I'd go with smart oversized which I saw everywhere lately so I think it's in fashion or else an A-line design, because I imagine the last thing you want is anything tight across your stomach right now, so you'll be able to button it up without it feeling restrictive or uncomfortable. I would try charity shops for coat and dresses to keep the cost down, as I think people will be swapping their coat for a new one and clearing out their dresses from summer so should be plenty of these things available. You might be lucky enough to find cardigans and leggings too.
