Product to bring out/define wavy hair

I’ve recently had my hair cut quite short, particularly at the back. I’ve always straightened my hair and am a bit lost as to how to deal with it now as I don’t think straightening is necessarily the way to go, it actually looks better with a few waves and flicks, I can’t get the straighteners on it easily as it’s all at the back and I’d like it more low maintenance. But if I do nothing it looks a bit rubbish.

What product would you recommend for defining waves? Would curly hair products be best? My hair is neither straight nor curly.

I've recently been using cantu curl custard and their curl cream. A little goes a long way. Gives good definition and has a lovely coconut scent which gets lots of compliments

to clarify, I don't use the 2 products together. The custard is a gel consistency and has a firmer hold. You may need to scrunch it out once it has formed a cast in your hair.

Try some curly products and they might help enhance your waves. I like Olew, Cantu, and Shea Moisture.

It really does depend on your hair. What suiited mine 2 years ago doesn't work at all, now it's much longer. Current favourite stylers are ecoslay rice pudding and jello shot but the way I apply it also matters. I also can't use it more than 2 washes in a row, even with vosene to get my hair and scalp really clean.

I have wavy hair and I really like Philip B maui wowie, it’s a salt spray so super easy to use after washing, really brings out the waves but doesn’t weigh the hair down at all like some curl cremes and gels
