Trainers scraping my heel:((

I purchased some really lovely trainers online and they scrape my heel. I have tried moleskin and heel pads which work but then come unstuck. I recently bought some thick insoles but my feet ache in them as my trainers then feel too tight. Has anyone got any other ideas? I really love my trainers and want to wear them more. Would thin insoles work? I literally just want my heel lifted a bit if that makes sense.

Sadly they don’t got fit do thry ? I’d eBay them whilst nearly new and get some that do.

If they are literally too deep at the heel a gel heel pad might help but really they aren’t right

You want half foot insoles

I bought some better socks - running ones that come up high at the back and are generally thicker than typical trainer socks, so that my heel was always covered.

I had some trainers that rubbed my heel no matter what I did, after looking at them wistfully for two years (I would try them on and instantly feel the discomfort on the one heel and off they'd come) I gave them to my best friend and I still feel sad when she wears them, but they even ripped compeed blister plasters off my heel and I have never had that before, they were vicious vicious bastards.

If you want your heel lifted, try heel cups.

If you want to protect your heel, then try blister prevention patches for shoes rather than skin.

Buy some leather stretcher from Clark's (are they leather?), spray the heel and wear around the house with your thickest socks on. Do this a few times and you will have sorted them. I once did this wearing in some fancy heels worn with my thickest welly socks, I totally forgot and answered the door. My postman gave me the oddest look.

I had this and got some gel heel pads from boots. They are just little wedges, but raised my heels about half an inch and that was enough so the bit of the trainer heel wasn't scraping.

I had the same problem a few years ago. I folded tissues and put them under my heels to raise them up. Did this every time I wore them for quite a long time and eventually the trainers were fine to wear without the tissues.

Have you tried micropore tape over the bit of your heel that rubs? I find that I take it off at the end of the day and it has a hole in it, but my heel is fine. Most satisfying.

Thin pop socks under socks

Great advice here, I bought some half insoles to try out. They are those Nike flyknit ones however I have tended to wear cheap trainer socks. Definitely the right size... Confused
